Now that this has been highlighted in Sky the FA will act..

Read the full article at Sky Sports

This was not highlighted by any of the pundits or managers as an issue...

But see there was no comment about Fonte possibly leg breaker on rose who had to jump out the way...

I think he'll be ok, looks a little clumsy but it's no eye gouge, just a friendly palm to the face with the follow through.

He was a prat for getting himself booked and banned for Watford. He'll be lucky to escape further action for this.

I don't really care if Fonte does or doesn't have retrospective action taken. They're nowhere near us in the league so it won't help us.

I have to say the atmosphere was charged at the ground, Jan was very aggressive and played really well. After this incident both the players shook hands and got on with it, don't see a ban coming really. As for being a prat for getting booked, its nice to have players who care enough about the result that they sometimes cross the line a little, no criticism from me about the way Jan performed.

It's a matter of players' safety, whether it's a Spurs player or not. Rose was lucky to "escape".

If he got through that match without a yellow his count would have reset and wouldn't have got a suspension under the totting up rule.
He got booked for running after someone and shoving them.
There's no need to do that, ever, let alone when you NEED to not get booked.
Now he's suspended, with Alderweireld looking like being out and possibly needing Dier to replace Wanyama in midfield.
So he was a prat.

Thought it was a harsh booking. He got up annoyed with Long but I dont think he touched Long apart from Vertonghens annoyance, no booking needed for the Spurs man. I thought Rose's booking and sending Redmond off was harsh too.

It looked to me like he sprinted towards him and at the very least, grabbed him to confront him. He should have been better behaved throughout considering what was at stake.
