A little chorus of 'Harold Shipman killed your nan' probably didn't help too much. Add 'You've only got one song' and 'You've never won fuck all' to that and they're probably feeling a bit hard done by.

Jesus, after reading that it appears everyone who posted hates us. It seems that the 81 Cup Final started it. Also, remember the 4-2 (i think) inthe cup when Nayim bagged a couple and the City fans ran on the pitch mid game and tried to get in the Spurs end. Lots of bad feelings after that.

I don't mind City, but i think the word that sums them up best, for me, is 'meh'.

lol City fans are only big crybabies because they struggle to think of any retorts. They started off with their '3-0 and you fucked it up' and 'we only had 10 men' so we followed it up with a torrent of 'one ricky villa' 'one manny pacquiao' 'ricky hatton is a ****' 'you've only got one song' etc... and they couldn't live with it.

Because they're all thick as fuck.

 That is a great read. I thought West Ham fans were petty but they haven't got anything on City fans. A lot of them seem to hate us because we beat them in the '81 cup final. Does this mean we hate Coventry due to '87?

Nah. But you have to remember, City never win anything and rarely ever get to finals.

Why bother with these Man City fans - they cant even half fill their ground for UEFA cup games - not worth the effort, their bitterness is amusing though.

08/09 - Tottenham - 7/8th, City 9/10/11th
07/08 - Tottenham - 11th, City 9th
06/07 - Tottenham - 5th, City 14th
05/06 - Tottenham - 5th, City 15th
04/05 - Tottenham - 9th, City 8th (on GD)
03/04 - Tottenham - 14th, City 16th
02/03 - Tottenham - 10th, City 9th (by 1 point)
01/02 - Tottenham - 9th, City not in the League
00/01 - Tottenham - 12th, City 18th Relegated!

3 times in about 8 seasons they have finished ahead of us, once on GD, and another time by a point. Last season we won a cup and we're in the shit at the start of the season, beat them home in the League and away on route to the final (with ten men ). No wonder their so bitter.

AS I remarked earlier the years since that 81 final have been years where we have established winning pedigree of six trophies to 0 - (including 81)

I've no doubt our lge record is massively superior to theirs over that period too

a team that had the edge for about ten years from 68 to 78 have falen way behind us in the last 3 decades

the next decade they may do us - then again with City's track record of snatching chaos from certainty I wouldn't count on it

Oh dear, so bitter!

I just lol'd on reflection of watching SSN last year with a load of imbecilic (goes without saying?) Northerners outside their ground singing, "we've got Robinho, we've got Robinho".

Gotta love some of their comments... Ireland better than Modric!? Eek

nah ireland is class and by far their best player while everyone else lets him down, definitely should've won young player of the year award. 9 goals and 9 assists this season in a very inconsistent team. modric's not there yet though i think he'll improve a lot next season.

As much as Modric has gotten so much better over time, Ireland has been better over the season imo. He is the heartbeat of their team and ran the midfield show 2nd half.

City do have some quality players as well as Ireland, but I still think, from what I've seen, that Modric is a more skillful player with a better footballing brain but yeah, it is his first season and I'm sure he will improve.

Doesn't seem to be like the typical English youngsters (or peers eh Ledders) getting smashed.
