I'll be honest I never really had anything against spurs in the past, few of my best mates are spurs fans and I've always looked out for their results etc..

However, just got back from the game and what a totally detestable bunch of wankers they are. There fans are absolutely vile and have no sense of humour or imagination. To think we sent back some of our allocation and we still out sang them for 90 minutes

We had some songs such as 'we pay your benefits' and stuff like that but I was in block 35 and didn't notice anything really offensive.

Of course there was also 'there's only one Ricky Villa'

But seriously, the more I think about this the more puzzled I am. There genuinely was nothing offensive in our attitute towards them today at all in the area I was in, quite close to them.

I cant believe they are disputing the penalty, simply incredible. When you put humans in your team that have the capacity to dental floss through their ears, you can hardly be suprised when you give away a stupid penalty like that!

 They seem to hate "Oh when the spurs...". They thought they were the better side too.

They hate Boro as well for some reason.

Probably because we beat them home and away pretty much every season.

Outplayed us? I must been wearing my rose tinted glasses then cos what I saw was us all over them for pretty much all of the first half. Then the second half in which we could have easily had more goals if only Pav had gone off earlier (or managed to score at least the sitter he was gifted).

More shots, more goals, in which way did they outplay us?

Oh and I heard them sing...........once.

I can add them to a set of fans I can't stand now too, be gracious in defeat at least, outplayed? Outsung?

Until Liam started giving it the big-I-am!!

I was in block 36 right next to them and to be fair they were loud for pretty much all the second half while the Park Lane seemed to go pretty flat after a great first half. I'm not sure why they hate us quite so much, because there wasn't anything much worse than the usual banter that I could hear. Still bitter after '81 I guess! Or just gutted that we have an original version of "Oh when the saints".

They were unlucky to get nothing out of the game, but meh!

I did love the moment they sang "you only sing when you're winning" to which we responded by belting out 4 or 5 rounds of "we are Tottenham" and completely drowned them out

Sorry, but what's this Liam whats the score all about?

-Edit- I get it.

They are really looking forward to the future, and seem to think that they will be world beaters soon.

I hate Liverpool and Spurs, cant wait to thrash them one day.

After the rags, Spurs are the team I'm most looking forward to giving a regular stuffing one day.

Interesting mixed views, I was in the East Lower down towards the North, wasn't personally of the opinion that they seemed too loud. Park Lane at times was brilliant and I missed being in amongst it today!

Okay...So from reading it I see that most of them are still bitter because of a cup final that probably happened before most of them were even born.

Apart from Villa's solo goal what happened in that final that made them so bitter, out of interest?

I guess it was because I was so close that they seemed loud and we were really quiet at the time as well. They sang "Oh when the blues" over and over again for ages and a fair bit of "blue moon" as well.

The Park Lane was great fun today though, I wish I could get in there more often!

I will say some of the fans in my section of block 36 were a bit rubbish, which I assume was a lot of the tickets that went out on the late release. There was some woman in front of me whinging about people in front of her standing up

I always sit in Park Lane normally, just love the atmosphere there but we couldn't get in there this time. at the uneducated woman

I saw some of their fans about before and after the game and they were very quiet, didn't bother me at all whereas many teams brings fans who do nothing but scream and shout in their minority outside the away entrance.

Cleared Ricky Villa is to blame for their hatred. Good old Ricky :-D

Losing week in week out? Especially when playing the mighty lily whites?

In that final? They would've won the original game but for a fluke deflection from a Hoddle free kick. Villa then won us the replay. Being so close to winning must be the reason why they're so bitter.
