I expect a right meltdown when Lamela is announced on the bench, but I'm not sure what everyone is expecting.

He's coming off an injury and we have a long history of treating injured players as such especially when they're only deemed fit enough a day before the game.

He was suspended wasn't he?

Suspended and injured.

Windy mentioned on the Fighting Cock Podcast he was injured so the suspension was somewhat meaningless. Plus we all found out officially he was inured when the team listed him as such for Qarabag.

Id hate them to come good in this game. I can see it happening though. However just because they come good doesnt mean they will beat us because we are playing really well at the minute. If our players have our shooting boots on i think we will win. Its just because its chelsea it makes me nervous

Forget about Chelsea's bad form they are going to be really tough, yeah we beat them 5-3 but they beat us 2-0 when it really mattered, we have to take the game to them and not concede, would be happy with a point.

I agree. Just en route to the game. Haven't felt this nervous before a game for a while. Want to beat them so much.

Happy with that team. Lamela has done well but so have the rest who are starting. I think Lamela will be a good player to come on in the 70th minute to hassle them and put a ball up through the middle

5 disagrees to my post yesterday....
People seemed to misinterpret it as wanting Mason over Lamela.

When it was more of a realistic expectation that if Lamela was recovering from injury Mason is likely the one to start.
