So everything is "not as peachy".....

So how many options are there that could fit?

1- Bale himself would like to speak to RM/us to 'consider' an offer and let him know - quite possible

2- Levy has intimated that there is a price he may deal at - possible but would be surprised if it were for this season

3- RM & Levy are negotiating a deal for a transfer NEXT season, with a deal on Coentrao somewhere in that mix - sounds highly plausible but I'm not DL

With all the ITK so positive that Bale will stay, then option 1 is the most likely (from DLs perspective), if so we have to hope that he doesn't throw his toys out if the pram before the season starts ala Modric.

Don't forget Gareth Bale is human, he has the right to change his mind however nice he is.

I still think that there has been a shift.....there is smoke and a small flame.

I haven't heard of this BW guy, so I'm going to choose to not get too worried about the info. What is clear from the latest explanation is that we have not sold bale. Maybe there is some posturing over the new contract, and we have already seen that his agent is a bit of a cock, but nothing concrete. I still can't see bale going.

As for the soldier, it seems to be picking up a lot of pace now, looking forward to the announcement, possibly before lunch at this rate with the number of sources saying done.

Whilst I fully agree with A&Cs zero tollerance policy from here on in, I'm surprised that one post has upset the guy so much. If the whole forum was on his back, or a significant group, then understandable. It does seem that he was more concerned of the viral spread of his info than negative comments though. Not sure the pop at SC was required though.

Everything we have heard is "by Friday" in regards to the lump sum payment. Hopefully we are smart and bring him in today for a medical and once that's done we just square it away.

Had a few drinks last night and didn't get to bed until about 6am, but my watch must have stopped at 3am. Just woke up and looked at it. Thinking I'd slept half the day I leapt out of bed, turned on my laptop, had a shower, rushed back to laptop, loaded up SC, got dressed, checked SC, looked at bottom right of laptop, saw 9 am.

3 hours sleep it is then...

P.S. Is Ice docking the same as an Alaskan pipeline or is it an Alaskan pipeline without the rubber?

I think that Bale will be staying, at least for this season. All the media attention and speculation surrounding his immediate future is actually giving us - Spurs - a lot of exposure around the globe. This is actually very good for our branding and I'm pretty sure that DL realises this. I reckon that he's relishing this fact and knows that it would be a huge commercial gain for the club, if we keep him at least for another season. This is how I see it and that is why I think bale's future is being kept in mystery and bleak, for now.
It will be sorted soon and he will be staying. We will have gained tremendous boost along with all the drama.

Why are people in melt down about Bale. He is not going, do you really think he would have been made the cover player for FIFA 14, NBC's PL coverage and BT Sport if he hadn't given some cast iron guarantees that he wasn't fucking off to Spain? He would lose millions in future deals if he left now as no-one would use him, no-one.

I don't think he is going, but I also don't think we would give any external parties cast iron guarantees that we would not be selling. For,starters its not their business how our owners decide to run us, and secondly you could never rule out a ridiculous bid coming in, I.e. over 100m.

I predict we will get "we have reached agreement with Valencia" statement on the OS today. This Bale stuff on the radio and elsewhere is getting tedious to the extreme. Maybe this announcement will make a bit of noise/appease fans? Of course it might stoke the fire even more though....

On a secondary note - I do totally understand BW and his stance. I can't believe that ITK's can't be quickly found out sometimes through their actual posts. BW seemed to have very specific info on various subjects which could only have come from more selective sources.

Interesting stuff about the stadium also. Would like to hear a bit more on that.

Yes and no! Using the goat or their equivilant hides the person sharing the ITK. But if the info that's given is meant to be top secret or only a handful of people are meant to know, then its not very hard for the club to guess where the leaks are coming from. Also certain bits of info released into the media may cause more trouble than its worth for the club we support.

The Bale stuff could easily be about the contract extension. Maybe they want a release clause put in to avoid a "gentelmen's agreement" situation next year a la Modric? Pure speculation on my part, just throwing it out there.

I do think though that if he was 100% staying he could easily come out and say it. I don't see how it could damage any future transfer to Madrid from his point of view.

Exactly. This is why I don't want SC ITKs to be tweeted by site admin. While I agree its good for publicity of the forum, but the moment the ITK is tweeted, it goes Viral - especially some twitter fan accounts like @HotSpurRelated-While he is one of the original Spurs fan accounts around, but there are lot of other accounts feed of him. In minutes, the ITK goes open and no longer In the Know.

I was even concerned about yesterday's ITK on revealing financial details going twitter. You never know - how ITKs could be compromised. Suppose ITK makes a mistake in wording , it might lead straight to them and might have to suffer consequences.

I would really like SC ITKs not to be tweeted out by site admin and rather be maintained inhouse as part of forum - only those who have account here would have to be the recipient.

Already beginning to see mention of RM shifting attention to Suarez - in the Sunday Times today. Is a press created "Bale to RM bubble" deflating ?

As for things being "less peachy" - could be anything. Having to go to HK with an injury that stops you playing and training and having to deal with the jet lag and extreme humidity of this time of year wouldn't do much for anyone's mood

While Bale and the club aren't releasing statements saying that all rumours are untrue they are generating a lot of publicity for Spurs in Countries where we don't usually get it and getting new fans to pay attention to us......

Soldado played 47 games last season for Valencia. I don't want to see Ade go either, but if RS stays healthy our backup striker may not play a very important role this season.

But Ade can play as well!...in my eyes anyway. I don't see why he can't play as one of the front 3. He plays out wide most of the time anyway! Us really progressing would mean keeping both players.
