Was just looking at Niang's wiki page and noticed his father got involved with the signing of his contract with Caen. Most likely the old african gentleman next to him in the picture (if it is him of course).

Niang scored 5 in 30Apps. Doesn't sound very good, am I missing something. Loads of time to improve I suppose

JJ said 'no' when asked. A flat 'no' too...

Think things will change next week. How many other possible replacements are there? Dembele only has a year on his contract. I read that Capoue did not play tonight with no reason given.

I'll be honest - my new hope is Dembele
Id forget him too, not a chance Fulham will let him go this late in the window for small fee and we aint going to pay.

I think we have left too late and we could well not sign anyone.

Hasn't he just got a year on his contract? Can see us offering 15 millionish

If you think signing a player was difficult, think about signing a world class player (the type we need, 2 or 3 of them) in 5 days. forget about the whole transfer window and think how difficult it is to close such a deal in 5 days. anyone still optimistic about us signing what we need?

Well didn't we do VDV in 3 hours, 19 minutes and 56 seconds a couple of years ago?

I think we'll end up signing a few irons on down the list if you know what I mean...

but, but "meltdown", "blue & yellow" and all the other cryptic shite thats banded around, surely that means we will be happy?...wont it?

im like many of you on here, checking religiously and hoping for the next snippet from a mouth of one of the many ITK's that say we will sign XYZ but i am beginning to be disillusioned with it all. year after year we leave it late and for no good reason. it doesnt benefit anyone, we dont get the knock down price, if anything you end up paying a premium for what is often a major asset. the carroll thing is a prime example.

thats if the selling side are able to find an adequate replacement in time, and they often arent which leaves last minute shite like nelson and saha left in the bin for us to forage for like piss smelling tramps after a 3rd of a burger. surely it would be easier and make more sense to negotiate earlier in the summer and leave the protracted nonsense out of it.

modric will leave and then the "we tried hard but failed" ITK's will come out ala god knows how many players in the recent windows and we should all be happy with what we have...bollocks. 5 points thrown away already

Let me get this right. You think Spurs (Levy) will bid for a player who has one year left on his contract with a fee that very nearly matches our record transfer fee? I'm sorry but thats not how Levy does business. I fear that the way our 'big' transfer fee signings have faired for us is what puts Levy off from spending large sums.

We now Modric is better then Moutinho and we will sell Modric for less then Porto want for Mouinho but AVB badly wants him and i think that in itself and the fact that Moutinho would love to work with AVB we should trigger the €40 release clause

He will be an integral part of the side. We have to get him

There is no way we're going to sign the 4 players we need. Unless we get some billionaire takeover I think we'll get the 1 deadline day deal. It's been the same for the past 2 years now and it's clear to everyone what we need.
