I blame Schmidt for the performances in this World Cup. We've been poor since he announced he was leaving. Poor timing with that.

I haven't said it didn't make a difference, but I don't think anything in that match was evidence of it being a factor at all.

If England had played France I'm confident they would have beaten Australia in a similar way.

And to be fair having seen how easily England swatted Australia aside, I'd now be asking questions about the previous Welsh performance against them.

Fortunately for Wales they've probably got one of the weaker quarter finalists so they'll be more than fine.

Nah, I don’t reckon you would’ve. Not from a tiredness thing but the prep and training factor is key. But cool, you’re playing the we’ll never know argument I’ll be sure to pull you up if you ever make a “he/they look tired” comment.

I don't see how any scoreline proves anything. You'd literally need some sort of heart monitor, or lactic acid measurer, against the minutes played, and then some sort of evidence that one team weren't just fitter anyway.

So to sum up, claiming that the result was 'evidence' of anything is really clutching.

But you can still rely on the Australian mistakes and the ref as being the only reason we won if you want (y)

Also there’s the key fact that England only played their 1st team in one game... the risk of something going wrong was reasonably high. The simple fact however is that despite some bright patches from the Aussies they were up against a formidable team that outplayed them right across the pitch and deservedly won.

It’s not over yet. It kinda is but not just yet. If you could get the gap down to 10 points at HT you’ve got half a chance.

Nonsense about England aside, it's clearly all academic. Not sure Ireland are up to much in this tournament, but New Zealand just look a cut above everyone else.
