I honestly think Rooney is on the verge of meltdown. To me he looks completely weighed down psychologically. Berating the fans, screwing up his marriage and everytime I see him play now he looks like he had forgotten even the basics such as controlling the ball.

Watching Red Nose's interview he seemed mystified why he wants to go. I dont know where he will go either, I cant picture him playing abroad, I really cant. It would be hilarious if his head had been turned by City though!

Oh and I wouldnt neccessarily assume Utd will be after our players. I can only see them getting £20million tops for a player whos contract is rapidly running out.
Plus im not convinced they can spend really big anymore despite their denials of the financial situation. They didnt really do much with the Ronaldo money.

This is true, but after the players that you had mentioned left, Utd had the players to take on the mantle.

This time they don't. The squad is either ageing or not exoerienced enough yet.

i would like to think that's the case and their time in the Sun is over, but it really wouldnt suprise me at all if they just end up stronger once the dust settles

Good points.
As to Rooney it's allwell and good when you're a top player to be arrogant but he hasn't done or looked like doing anything for a while.
Looks like Fergie will outlast Rooney at Old Trafford.
Rooney's head is clearly a long way from being right.

bale for rooney ?

massive no for me, but even if redknapp wanted that, united would have continue to pay most of rooneys wages for us cause we probably couldn't even afford half of what he is asking for (allegedly)

Rooney is moving for money plain and simple, he shat on Everton, he shat on his wife and kid numerous times (not literally of course.... I dont think), he shat on England fans without any sign or statment of remorse. Yes when he wants to play he is world class but he is clearly a scumbag, Id say Harry will say he is "intrested" as usual but we wont be in the running and TBH I am not really caring, I can't stand the sight of the fucking ****!

IMO he will join Man City on huge money, if YaYa is on 200k id say Rooney will be on that or more.

If he does go to City this will be a frighteneing prospect for them upfront and a shiney big sign to the rest of top world players.

If they do sell him Fergie will probably go and buy Dzeko to replace him.

Ah case closed then. We can all stop wondering.

I reckon a cash + Benzema swap is the most likely outcome. To be fair if Fergie can get Benzema playing well United wont really be much worse off.

It's midfield where they need another world class player.

He could even get both players for the Rooney money, now would Dzeko and Benzema be better than Rooney and Berbatov?
