Holtby & Negredo at £15m

or Moutihno & Damiao at £40m+

Hmmmmmm.......If only I could guess which way Levy will go.

Just said, re Levy stirring, at the end of the last thread - doesn't Holtby need to be concluded with time for Shalke to get a replacement? Hopefully that means the Mouts saga will be resolved one way or another before deadline day (based on what JJ said yesterday)

from last nights discussions I'm getting a bit worried about this "not AVB's buy" stuff.

We've just seen what having Redknapp vs Levy does to the club, now AVB came into the club on the understanding that transfer targets will be decided by "commitee" he's even said he's willing to work under a DOF. Yes he has his transfer targets but having a target is no the same as signing a player (otherwise we'd of won the league every year for the last decade) and I get the impression AVB is mature enough to know this. Siggy might not of been on AVB's list but it doesn't mean he didn't want him.

I'm just a bit concerned that we the fans are going to create the same divisions that existed between Harry and Levy when for all we know none exist. Even if theres occassional frustrations in their relationship over transfer policy I'd like to think they are both professional enough to put the good of the club first.

I feel with Levy / AVB we could be on the cusp of something big and hate the thought that we could hold that back.

Has there been any concrete ITK to suggest this LEVY signing / AVB signing divide is anywhere near the scale of LEVY / REDKNAPP

I have been impressed with AVB's patience with signings and handling of the media.

On a transfer note, I fully believe Holtby is all Levy just seeing him as future cash back regardless of his playing success or failure. It's all about the assets with our top man....

The stars would have to aline perfectly for Moutinho to where the Lilly white....

Here's hoping, eh?

Evening people (well here it is). Just a thought. Edin (I score for fun of the bench) Dzeko is being touted as available. Anyone think he is worth 25m considering we were in for him originally? Seems the perfect forward for us.

It's a fair point. Excited though we get about new players arriving, AVB'S has consistently said that he is happy with the squad he as at its disposal. Must give the current crop quite a morale boost I'd say.

Levy "stirring" conjures up images of Cyril Sneer slowly emerging from his winter sleep.

I'm just a bit concerned that we the fans THINK WE ARE CAPABLE OF are going to create CREATING the same divisions WE THOUGHT that existed between Harry and Levy ;)

Fair point, however I don't think the press (who aren't exactly members of the AVB fan club) need our help.

would love it, however we are not about to be strengthened by one of our rivals. Who do you think manages them? Arsene Wenger?
