Teams not working hard enough last season and this one so far. Have they stopped running for him?
Is our fitness training much different from Liverpool who play the same high energy pressing game without the burnout?Dutch coach Raymond Verheijen is a well known critic of Poch's training methods. In fact the more time passes the more right he seems. He's been calling this since Poch came to this country. Here's just one link https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/05/...asts-pochettino-on-twitter-claims-spurs-rece/
I haven't time to check this right now, but I'm pretty certain someone on here pointed out that when games played were equal Liverpool were never top last season. No, sorry you are completely wrong. Liverpool were much more in a title race last season than we were in the Leicester season. To say contrary is laughable. Liverpool finished a point behind the leaders and led the PL table for significant periods.
We were never the top of the league once in the Leicester season, and as you say, we collapsed, which again is another question mark against Poch. We finished third, so by definition Arsenal were in the race too then?
I saw this damning stat yesterday and although quite how they work out 'pressed sequences' it still underlines the fact that the real ethos of Pochettino being the sustained press has been on the wain for some time now coupled with dissatisfaction in the camp and an unwillingness to follow instructions then I can't see how this can possibly be rectified.
We definitely challenged in the Leicester season.
Long time lurker and don’t post much, but I feel the need to post about Poch.
This is the man that has elevated the club to a position that 6 years ago we could only dream of, he has taken the club through a tough financial period of stadium building with not spending a great deal of money and had us in title races and a champions league final. I honestly think he has done enough in his time with us to deserve time and backing from us.
We only finished third because we collapsed in the last couple of matches. And of course it was a proper title race. By that logic, Liverpool weren’t in the title race last year.
Had we beat West Ham we would have gone top. That was Poch and the players fault but we did challenge. So to challenge you have to remain top then lose first position?Barely. We finished third that season. It was never a proper title race, we were always playing catch up.
They have the energy and pace to do so. We don’t have those players other than son and moura. Is our fitness training much different from Liverpool who play the same high energy pressing game without the burnout?

I think he would be gone already if not for that huge contract he’s got . I think levy might have one eye on the Newcastle result today hoping for a home win and ole getting sacked and then coming in for Poch , well that’s what I am hoping for?If there was ever a time to sack him it’s now, I think if he’s still in the job by the time we play Watford I don’t think he’ll be going anytime soon
Are they physically capable of 15.6 presses per game anymore?View attachment 56360
