You have got to be fucking kidding. Respect for finally doing something he should have done in the first place to rectify a situation he created, that had been 4 years in the oven? For doing something largely driven, not by footballing concerns, but to save his head being carried out of the stadium by the fans on a pike? He's shot his bolt now. :D

Anyone else feeling a bit of nostalgia for daddy? Don't give in to it. This is exactly how he gets away with it, exactly how he hoodwinks people. He's not going to magically become football wise. The only acceptable end game where he's concerned is for him to fuck off.

I think we should build a statue of Daniel outside the stadium personally. What are your thoughts A&C?

Chuffed with this appointment.

Not expecting immediate success but I'm expecting all players to give 110% with conte in charge.

A real opportunity to show the board that its the players at fault and more incentive to ship the ones who do not give a shit at a lower price and bring in players who do.

Even after conte is done and gone, this will set the precedent for the future and put a stop to the free falling rot

Has anything actually been announced yet? If not, I've been a Spurs fan long enough to know this could still go sideways so I'll refrain from celebrating for the minute.

I think there'll be immediate improvment against teams we should be beating.

I’m in agreement that Levy is doing what he should’ve done all along so deserved no special praise. As far as I’m concerned it’s a start but it’ll take years of rebuilding what he’s damaged for me to trust him as chairman again.

However, I think you nibbled a touch harder than usual there… not had your first coffee off the day yet?

It's been announced that an announcement could be soon announcing the arrival of Conte.

In other words, no, nothing yet!

Look at what this club and fans has had to go through before he was forced into finally taking the right course of action. Credit? Respect? Fuck that.

Praising Levy for landing Conte = praising Levy for not selling Kane = praising an arsonist for putting out the fire he started

As much as Levy infuriates me at times and this was possibly in desperation...

This appointment along with the funds that would have to have been promised to strengthen the squad is the biggest show of intent (in terms of the of the football team) I have seen in my life time. A world class manager at the peak of their powers.

I'm excited.

I'm not sure this is a show of intent Levy wanted to make, as opposed to one he had to make when he heard fans chanting "we want Levy out", personally.

He knew if he kept Nuno, he was toast.

He also knew that if he sacked Nuno and put Ryan Mason in, he was toast.

If the fans didn't lynch him, then Paratici would have done.

The little bastard.

Yes he has at last woken up to 'smell the coffee'
but he poured the last two cups down the sink.
and only half drank the one before that.

What I found odd was that the media were so obsessed with Ole having to save his job during that match that they didn't once think that Nuno was in danger. I was pretty confident whoever lost that match badly got the sack
Guess it was more to do with him only being in the job 4 months and that we would give him more time, and our fans had not demonstrated like the Utd fans, I think a lot of us were willing to give Nuno the benefit of the doubt, I was but that Moura substitution alone changed my view, he had to go then, showed he was out of his depth and didn’t know what he was doing.

Man I’d love to see the dressing room after that first training session ends...

Winksy with a front tooth missing, Dele with a dreadlock torn out, Dier rocking backwards and forwards muttering something in Portuguese.
Sonny smiling, wanting to go again :joyful:
