Yeah I guess when you're as bad as he is, air-kicking a dangerous cross the face of the goal and shanking a cross into row z is about as good as you can hope for.
I am quite a bit worse than Kyle naughton, and don't use my skills as a footballer as a barometer.

I came in here to suggest Lennon as RB just to take the piss ("best defensive winger in the league"), and find that people are actually suggesting it for real. lol this place just loves it some Lennon, I swear...

Dunno. Lennon couldnt play a deep cross if his life depended on it. The only ones he can manage are floaters and drag backs from the byline. Also his only real defensive contributions are tracking runners. He doesn't really put in a tackle or go shoulder to shoulder.

That was my first thought.
There was rumor last season Inter had interest of him, for a couple windows no less - without watching Inter and just thinking out loud that Lennon might fit in as the right wing back if they play 352 opposite Nagatomo, if he's willing to run nonstop.

Lennon now seems to settle in the role of the 12th man for us, often being the first sub on the field (for PL anyway). I do like that tactically, especially when we are winning as he brings a bit of defense - wee see his close tracking on one Soton player don't remember who (or was that the euro game before?) cutting in from the right, most likely prevented a shot from the edge of the box; and the potential of a counter - in theory, since we have not yet seen that aspect achieved efficiently. But I do like to have an option of a speedy wing player with some defense ability and good with following orders to come in late handy.

I'd try Chiri like a poster suggested earlier for RB before I do Lennon.

:) :) :)

Meanwhile, the news was positive on both Kyle Naughton, injured against Southampton last time out and Kyle Walker, recovering from pelvic surgery.

Mauricio added: “Kyle Naughton is getting better and perhaps he will have the possibililty to be in the squad for the next game (Asteras Tripolis).

So, The Kyle Naughton Appreciation thread... I tell you what, I bloody well would appreciate him if he doesn't kick up a fuss about continuing to not even make the bench. But I'd tell him I wouldn't blame him if he did. What happened to him being first choice right back?

Maybe because he's injured has something to do with it ;-)

Uhh... What the hell are you on about? I'm questioning why he lost his place. And that's "insane?" I think you need to look up the definition of insane mate.

He lost his place because he's injured. Still. Look 4 posts above the one you wrote and you will see a quote from the manager about how he might be back in the squad for the next game.

Every thread.

Every single thread.

Personally I think City was not the game for Naughton (even if he was fit). I think Dier is a more natural reader of the game and even though he got done a few times, I think Naughton would've had a roasting, especially with lamela's unpredictable, ham-fisted approach to 'helping out' in defence.

Well why would he look up "insane" when that's not what he said or meant? If you were insane that would be interesting.

He's right though, you come into a lot of threads with the internet equivalent of an apparently innocent and bewildered look on your face about things that which a simple google search could cure.

Why would I need to google search something I don't have a question to? I didn't pose a question in here. I genuinely didn't realise Naughton was unavailable to play.

You're a spurs supporter, I assume? A quick read of the latest team news or even memory of Naughton getting pole axed against Southampton would have told you he was out injured for a while.

You were the same when people were trying to explain to you that the only reason Naughton hadn't been playing regularly up until recently was because he was suspended and then Dier kept his place due to decent form. Again, a simple Google search would have saved you from looking like you were trolling.
