Personally can’t wait for Southgate to leave. He’s got a golden generation and is wasting it. Crap football to watch and doesn’t pick players on form. Maguire shouldn’t be anywhere near this team on present form. Imagine what Potter could do with this squad.

Do you think Sessegnon is ready to play in a world cup? I think he might have had a chance if it was next summer, but it feels a bit early for him in November/December.
I think this is a question that we are obsessed with in England but dont see it else where

The 2008 euros Spain team was built on Senna as their holding piece
The 2010 world cup winners had capdevilia
The 2014 Word cup winners had start Kramer in the final, albeit he played 32 mins after an injury, not to mention a geriatric Klose
The 2018 world cup winners had Pavard as the number 1 choice in RB playing for stuttgart with a handful of caps with Hernandez on the other side with a few and Nzonzi coming off the bench

I think you have to go for the best you have in that position. I also think Steve Holland, who does the tactics is clearly setting up england to emulate conte's 352/342 system. Sessegnon knows the system better than most

I also think Walker at RCB and James at RWB is silly, Walker doesnt play RCB for club whereas James plays in a 3 week in week out, at RCB most often.

Pope isn't exactly selling himself as a potential number one with all these misplaced passes.
