Well well, sobering stuff.
Didn't expect to wake up to that this morning (and was away yesterday).
Like many I am sure, I was firmly a believer in Levy being a hard nut, but with a structure and a vision and an eye for when to back a manager and when not to.
But this ITK is bleaker than I would have hoped for.
Sounds like there are too many board members wanting slices of pie and too much focus on pure profitability from selling the club.
Sometimes it sounds like asset stripping. Selling of best players for high profit, re-invest some of that into players you hope to do the same with.
If this is the case, then goodbye bale.
Now I'm not for pitchforks and torching, but surely we as fans need to make our voices heard. If we back AVB at home matches with singing and so forth... Well I know it doesn't have to mean much as businessmen would say we still come to matches, but still.
This club is yet again on the cusp if being a great team, Levy has to use that... If he wants harrods prices then finish the puzzle. Get the players in that the manager he appointed wants!
If this ITK proves true, then I as a fan question AVB's appointment... Was it the acumen, skills and desire that Levy saw? Or the chance to appoint a manager that was supposed to buy the board some time to continue their selling plans all in the name of transition and a hope that we as fans bought into the concept of AVB being a failure at Chelsea and would slowwwwly rebuild his career rapt spurs and also that we would accept therefore transitioning.
Sorry, but I for one have harps enough. A blind arsenal fan can see we are close to being the finished article, time for Levy to back his man and win any beloved profiteering through glory on the pitch.
Oh and morning all...
