Coentrao wants to leave Madrid because he's desperate for first team football.

I'd say that, all things considered, leaving Madrid for Chelsea would be a case of stepping out of the frying pan and into the fire. Spurs are more likely to be able to offer him the first team football that he craves.

Not if you make the right appointments it isn't, but if the right appointments aren't being made then usually someone is to blame...

It does matter if Rose, Carroll and Townsend don't get minutes, the objective should be to bring players from the academy through to the first team, thus costing us less money. Or else I repeat why have we been wasting their time, if it's just about instant success?

I support Spurs because they are Spurs, not because they are an English club. Do I want the best players that can win things for us? Yes. Do I care where they come from? No. If the best players for the job happened to come out of the academy, bring them on! But unfortunately we only get the odd Kings and Carrolls coming through. If they are good enough they will be considered, but they should not be picked only on the basis that they are English or for some misguided sentimentality. Ironically I started to support Spurs because of two players, Ardiles and Galvin. Were they English?
I may be wrong here but you seem to be an England supporter that like Spurs, but I am not! I support Spurs, everything else is secondary!

That's not sneaky, Lilbaz. That's just being professional and, for me personally, it's a joy to behold. A wonderful change from the past!! The dynamic of the whole club seems different to the past few years, long may it continue. I've literally loved Chadli and Capoue appearing out of thin air, I wonder what other surprises are in store for us in the future? I also wonder how much longer will we have ITK's who are genuinely able to drip-feed us info.

I've never been on RAWK, though judging from what I've read on here and other sites, they're one deluded bunch of supporters? If that's the case, and they are saying they're not confident about getting Willian, surely there's really very little hope indeed?

Well to me it said it all today when Brendan Rodgers laughed in his interview when asked and it looked as though they werent as far as what everyone thinks in doing a deal to be fair but thats just what i took on it.

Ah I never saw this interview (though I did see your comment about it in the player thread). However, I'll stick to being ridiculously optimistic & sit in the belief that Rodgers laughed because he either knows they have no chance, or because he knows there's no way in hell that Willian would really sign for such an egotistical prick and hilarious club.

They have their fair share, but so do we.

At the end of the day people are people, some are more excitable than others.
