Here's your weekend thread.

The Gareth Bale hokey cokey is now getting beyond a joke, not to mention triple boring so ANY talk about him can go in the player thread and we'll use this one for discussion about ITK relating to other signings/departures.
Today's word of the day is: Bogeys
"Men in general are quick to believe that which they wish to be true".

Morning, not the usual feeling of a new season starting today. But at least it's all about the football more or less now.

First day of the new season. At bloody last!!

Let hope for some positive ITK today, and lets enjoy this wonderful day when the beautiful games starts again. Although Liverpool V Stoke is hardly beautiful, more like Neanderthal thugs.

Anyway I've got bum bogey to pick.

Then up to Barnet for a gig this eve :)

Bogeys = someone getting one over someone else. Levy to Perez or vice versa.

The quote is by Julius Caesar and obviously could just mean people believe the good ITK and disbelieve the bad, or maybe "All roads lead to Rome" towards Lamela and/or Osvaldo and/or Pjanic.

Any word on Scott Parker that I missed yesterday??. Did he make his mind up?.
Last I heard, Harry was trying to convince him to come to QPR so that he could become the next Paul Merson.

You honestly couldn't make it up.

The goats Willian news is very pleasing :) I'm torn between who I want more Willian or Lamela. Lamela will get more goals but isnt as creative Willians very creative but not many goals! I guess with Willian he would hopefully lay on alot of goals for our new star striker though. Hmmmm can we have both? ;)

If we sell B**e I'd be disappointed if we weren't going for both.

I honestly think that if we're getting 85m, plus the fact that we supposedly have money to burn anyway, then we should be trying to buy:

A centre back
A left back
A creative midfielder
2 wide forwards
A second striker

I don't see that happening but if we're going to sell our best player again that's what I'd think we need to get over the disappointment.

Am i the only one who think it's highly likely that we sell bale and fail with both lamela and willian? This window has been so good people seen to forget levy's history. I for one am not conviced

If we kept Bale, we would still need a striker, left back and centre back.

Jesus Christ you dont want much do you? I think realistically we get a lb another wide forward and a creative midfielder. Then if we sell a striker we bring a striker in!

We won't get Willian. Lamela I can see happening, but it's imperative we sign him before we sell Bale. Levy does seem more comfortable signing big cheques with a DOF in place.

Shouldn't this go in the GB thread?

Kind of lost amongst all the Bale stuff yesterday is the ITK that Adebayor seems to have been frozen out.
Getting him out could be absolutely key.
Soldado looks amazing but don't want to be one injury away from Harry Kane leading the line in front of our sparkly new midfield.

There was the possibility that there was a misunderstanding either from SpecialBlend or their source, and that Ade was merely catching up on some intensive fitness work that he would've missed by being away.

So one can surmise those players would be;

Chiriches
Coentrao
Pjanic/Eriksen
Willian
Lamela
Osvaldo/Leandro

Can't see them all materialising but I'd certainly expect some movement well before the Arsenal game with most of those positions taken care of on the proviso that Bale is leaving.
