I'm amazed as to how quiet the big ITK's are.

And where's Burt? Hasn't wrote a piece in god knows how long.

He has been tweeting tonight. Sounds like he is on his way back from holiday. He has made comments about benteke and others if you look at the messages he has sent people

Truly wonderful couple of weeks reading so far, guys.if I was studying summat like psychology or marketing I would use this thread as conclusive proof of the effectiveness of 'Chinese whispers'.....

As it appears to be relatively quiet on the 'itk' front can i suggest more posts along the lines of, or prominently featuring the phrases "FFS Levy!", "why weren't we all over falcao?", "we should just spunk 25million each on 3 strikers cos you gotta speculate to accumulate", "paulinho purchase has crippled our ability to purchase a new kettle, let alone a new striker, what were we thinking?" or "we have destroyed any chance of bale staying". Or maybe we could have some more people showing where benteke might fit in our midfield and attacking lineup (cos I didn't think that a team featuring paulinho, sandro and dembele, bale, benteke and ?(one other we have barely been linked with could be such a sexy proposition until I saw it on screen complete with potential support staff for injuries or cup gam)

It makes searching through pages of hand wringing and moaning to find some genuinely intelligent (or smutty/vulgar or downright borderline illegal discussion - am equally entertained reading either) comments that make me think "hey this guy a)knows his stuff and b)doesn't portray his information against a backdrop of his preconceptions.

Keep up the good work fellahs and for what its worth I think we start like this:-


Livermore, Parker, Huddlestone

Dempsey, Sigurdsson (floating No 9), and Fredericks

Sell the rest of em and create a new warchest, get bent for 5 million, crouch for 1 million and malouda for free and jobs a good un'..... stadium nearly paid for - worked for arsenal.

Just out of interest but when it says an ITK's source has been verified by the mods to what level is this done? Im trying to imagine how it could work. Surely actually verifying the source could compromise the ITK? But without this surely an ITK could easily be a WUM ? (Not bashing, just interested)

Gutted about Villa and we were close

Benteke and Soldado weren't original targets. Benteke is now. Thinks it will drag all summer but ultimately won't happen.

Paulinho and Baldini are great.

I reckon Nacer Chadli is coming in soon. Benteke will drag out until the end of the window I reckon.

The thing that I can't get my head around is Benteke and his agent must be somewhat confident that Levy is prepared to spend big to get him. Apparently we are the Club he wants to join and of course he handed in the transfer request. Risky game to play knowing our style of conducting transfers, which I'm sure his agent is aware of.

JJ's recent info would explain that. It's largely due to Levy being Levy.

There has. JJ said something along the lines of, "Not much movement on outgoings, unsurprisingly, because Daniel is asking for premium prices"... Though he did also say, "Parker will be gone soon"....

I think that all came from JJ anyway? Apologies to him if I'm wrong!!

I'm all for keeping a player if they are fetching ridiculously below their market value but I can't help feel that Levy might be overvaluing players such as Hudd. He probs values him nearer the 10 million mark, whereas in reality he's nearer 5.

Well the recent ITK from Ali Z was enlightening, here's me thinking were looking for Muons, Gluons and B-Mesons when all this time we have been targeting Positrons.

I always thought "war chest" was an idiom: being as how it is not distinct to a dialect or region.

I do love it you are right, the excitement of a potential signing, the dashed hopes when it doesn't come off! all pale into insignificance in comparison with someone spouting "Right that's it, I'm off to gut my grandma and her friends at the pensioners tea party with a sharpened grapefruit spoon"...... Has there been itk on negredo this window? Had looked like he was off city but they seem like they are about to wrap up jovetic. Wonder if dzeko could be an option - could even get city to subsidise wages again
