It can sometimes work that way, the thing about Bale is though that he's pretty easily the best player in the league imo, which means we have the potential to reach a higher level than anyone else. We HAVE to build on that imo, to take the opportunity we have.
If I was Bale though I would be wondering whether I'm going to have to carry the team on my shoulders for another year though, and continue getting double and triple marked without having other quality attacking players to exploit the space that creates on the pitch. It must be pretty frustrating, if we're not serious about adding real quality to the team then I wouldn't blame him at all for wanting to leave. But if we do add quality players I would expect him to stay and give it a shot next season.
either frustrating or exciting, he can either be dragged down by it or pushed on to do even better knowing the teammates will find him in positions for him to perform.
It's like how winning teams don't complain of tiredness. They want to keep winning. If he is in a team winning games as, by and large, we have been, and there is a clear progression (again, there has been) there's no reason to be frustrated. The other players are just as useful, some could be more useful than they had been as well, and as a whole the team is improving. Plus his manager believes in him and gets the best out of him.
Real Madrid is glamorous but not the most stable environment.
