The only thing I can see that possibly wrong with the latest info you found, is that €2m salary doesn't seem to go alongside the massive fee they paid for him?

No Benfica don't pay big wages and Coentrao was so keen on playing for Real he turned down a reported £4 mill a year from the Chavs and accepted the Real offer. Given it's all gone Pete Tong for him I imagine he is looking more for the kind of wonga the Chavs offered, now his Real dream looks pretty much over

I actually think he and his people. knowing he could be a key component in the Bale deal are trying to wring a few bob out of Real, I would imagine there is still a deal to be done

we have a couple good young strikers, Coulllibay springs to mind, we were all calling for him to get minutes in the first team last season, but to be fare if Ade leaves i can only see a player who can play across the front 3 signing, most probably Lamela.

Coulibally has no chance! I expect him to be released. Not good enough for the academy so no where near first team football.

I think we are still 3-4 players from being done, depending on outgoings.
Strictly speaking, I'm bloody over the moon with what we've already done, don't get me wrong, but in a dream summer, couple more yet.
Replacement for Gallas/Caulker in def. Chiriches is on and off a lot. ITK suggested Dier from Sporting, which I liked the sound of. Then there was talk of Sakho from PSG, big call to bring in someone like that, competing with Jan for LCD, unless one covers over at LB.
If Benny goes, a new LB, because we can't rely on Vertonghen due to the lack of bodies at CD. Disappointed if the Coentrao rumours are true, he looked as good as we could want.
If Bale goes, Lamela. Not sure where Todor fits in to be honest.
If Ade/Defoe go, strikers to maintain three options.

Just hasn't settled is the main problem IMO and could do with a loan back to a lower level Italian club. He was only 16 when he mover over here from Italy and that was only 3 years after fleeing a civil war in his home country and still just 18, far too early too write him off and you're bound to get some who struggle to adapt when moving to a new country at that age
