A late one, but Spurs are hoping to tie up a deal for Moussa Sissoko over the next few days from Toulouse, depending on Sandro Injury #thfc

Word seems to be spreading

Get that out of here. The Spurs Community reading swine does not deserve his two-bit plagarised tweets to be brought back from whence they came.

The whole 'moneyball' thing. Just seems so Levy. Bizarrely I read a quote somewhere the other day from Raphael Honigstein describing Adam Szalai, who we were linked with the other day, as not a star but a moneyball signing. 25yrs old, 6ft4 striker, available for a relatively modest fee.
As Fergie would say 'it's got Levy's fingerprints all over it'.

It's been mentioned a few times on SC that Levy has interest in the "moneyball" concept.
My own opinion of moneyball is that it has success (as proven by Beane & the A's) but it does not produce titles or trophies.

I really do hope the likes of negredo and sneijder are still available come deadline day. As they are simply bargains ready to take. I know people may prefer the damiao's and llorentes of this world, but negredo certainly knows where the net is! sneijder doesn't need justifying.

It's just going to be a long and painful couple of weeks, and i'td be surprising if no-one else comes in for the players before 31st of jan!

Being realistic, Damaio and Moutinho would cost approximately £40m (give or take) just in transfer fees alone. And that's assuming we can agree deals.
Negredo is obviously available as he has been allegedly offered around for £15m, which could get Levy'd down to £12m..? Sneijder rumoured to be around £8m, although Levy is apparently after a loan with option to buy. Either way, two experienced internationals of real calibre, admittedly 3-4 years older than Moutinho and Damaio so limited sell on fee, but more importantly available now for half the price and from clubs who actually want to sell.

I'd say Levy would be more likely to go with neither and go for cheaper options that are younger and most likely 3rd or 4th choice on AVB's list eg Sissoko, Son etc etc.

I think Levy will deal if Negredo price drop to 10m and Sneijder to 6M.... But more likely scenario is only Sneijder at the last day.

Britinva, who has no posts, and gives out 'dislikes'. Get with the programme. Everyone knows that Mr Pink sucks (or should I say blows).

Smacks of iPad scrolling, at least I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. As for Mr P we all know he'll do anything for a free lift!

Sissoko is nothing like Sandro. He's more like Jenas.
So you're saying he's the equivalent of a pile of shit. Only difference is that opposing midfielders wouldn't run right past a pile of shit, they'd be forced to go around.

There's no way Sneijder will still be available on the last day of the window.
