I expect to hear the following after 11pm "we tried to get Leandro, but on such short notice it was an impossible deal to pull together".......
We hear it every bloody time, yet we have 365 days to work on the deal.
Corrected that for you.

If we the only reason stopping us signing LD is £2m then surely there must be a compromise to be reached - performance related payments, amount of goals, CL qualification, etc, etc. However like RuskyM said £2 million, or £2,000,000, is a huge amount of money and not something just to be thrown around.

However I would be amazed if it was just a matter of 10% difference on price stopping us signing LD, there will be other obstacles.

Everyone knows that Sevilla play a huge Copa Del Rey game tonight at Vicent Calderon in Madrid, right? So, Negredo's inclusion in the team would mean no last minute deal is possible for him. By the way, those who were slagging him as not good enough in the previous thread should do themselves a favor and watch him play tonight against an excellent Atletico team. He's very good, and would be a massive boost to our squad.

And that's all to do with the fragile mental state of Spurs fans. The club might have all the lights off and doors locked right now. We'll still be here F5ing our tits off.

Yep, I still remember the one a couple of years ago. Harry leaving late at night saying nothing would happen and he was off out to dinner... I think we all were still here at 3am trying to dechiper any cryptic from that, until it dawned that we weren't going to get anyone in

What was it jj said? Something about levy would have no where to hide

Yep I imagine as far as AVB's view of Levy (and probably a lot of us fans) it's a case of 'fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me.

If AVB was promised a genuine attempt to sign either Moutinho or Leandro, then - unlike Roger Daltrey - he's about to be fooled again.

1 thing i dont like is how we keep going back to damiao.

" THIS IS OUR LAST BID "
brb back in the next window.

seriously if thats you final bid and inter rejects it, then man up and move on from it

stop being that beta guy that keeps begging the girl to go out with him even after she moved her goal post and rejected him by saying " buy me a bag and i will consider, oh you got me the bag? buy me a car and i will consider"

man up DL. move on and get on to lisandro or negredo.

Realistically it's game over, we are clutching at straws and clinging onto false hope

We just have to hope the planets align in our favour for the rest of the season and we get some luck

Whether or not the Willian to Angie Makalakadingdong move has broken down or not, I certainly can't see him coming to us now. If the reported transfer fee of £34 fecking million was correct, they'd have to take half of it for Levy to get him.
I think the figure was euros....Ssn reported it wrong.

People ought to lay off levy, he's been brilliant for this club, remember where we were when he arrived. Our summer signings were very impressive and good january signings are all but impossible without paying ludicrous money. I'm sure he's well aware we need another striker, but he's not going to bet the whole farm. He will have a budget and stick to it, that's why we're financially sound.
