I had intended to donate back when Bale was on the verge of signing, but then life went upside-down and I kinda forgot about it.

This place provides so much entertainment for me, especially during the window.

Thanks to all the admins, the ITK and my fellow inmates. SC is one of the few things I genuinely look forward to each morning.

I just dropped £25. I wish it could be more.

Ahoy!

It's deadline day so we're going to have one last go at holding you upside down and shaking you until some money falls out of your pockets.

If we do well today we have a special thank you in mind. Wait and see, but cough up while you're waiting.

HAVE YOU DONATED THIS MONTH/YET/AT ALL?

As you all know, SC relies on your donations to be able to provide a unrivalled coverage of ITK, if it wasn't for you guys, the server would crash left right and centre and we simply couldn't afford to be as awesome and sexy as I am, I mean we are.

In one transfer window we ran a poll asking when people thought we'd sign a certain player. The poll got an astonishing number of votes, over 600 of you took part.

Six bloody hundred. And that's just the yokes who bothered voting. Whichever way you slice it that's a lot. If everyone slung just three or four quid in the pot we'd be sorted for quite a while, so if you've never donated before, please consider doing so now.

I reckon we've about 500 or more lurkmeisters, so come on guys, if you're one of them and you enjoy SC's coverage of the Transfer Window (and lets face it, you do because you're here right?), then please chip in. It doesn't have to be a massive amount.

But A&C, where does the money go?

Outgoings: The server costs £400 per month. Forum software purchases/licenses/misc comes to around £500 a year. So currently, the cost of SC is about £5k a year.

Incomings: Advertising/Affiliates can sometimes cover the costs during the transfer window (January, July, August) but thats sometimes. Recently, advertising revenue has dropped off massively.

The rest of the year that falls well short. Its difficult to give an exact figure because the numbers don't stay the same but i'd say £100 a month during the quiet months. Donations during the quiet months come to about £50pm if we're lucky.

Rob will know better than I do, but I reckon we're short by about £2500 a year.

If one month we raise more than is needed, it stays in the pot as it won't be long before it IS needed. The shortfall is made up out of Robs pocket. I'll repeat that.......It comes out of his pocket. Think about that for a minute. I reckon he pays an average of £50 a WEEK.

This is why i'm often cajoling, nudging, outright begging and open to bribery during the transfer window. It's when the most of you are about and our last big donation drive raised enough to cover costs for a couple of months or so.

Any excess raised stays in the pot until its needed when donations/income goes right down. Absolutely nothing goes on anything other than SC's running costs.

So, if you'd like to donate, here's the link.

We use Paypal but you don't need an account with them, you can use your card in the same way as making any other online purchase. Very securely.

if 50 punters were to set up a standing order of £5 each month that would generate a Monthly income of £250 each month and £3,000 each year. So let’s get this sorted out now and solve the financial problem ?

If the names of the alternatives I've heard are correct, I'd rather not bother.

Just keep whatever money we have until January.

If Skrin is indeed off that is.

Only Rudiger is of the requisite quality imo, although lots don't want him.

Anyway great window all round!

Mr Gold says it's off. If that's your view of alternatives Trix then happy to call it a day and check in later to see who we managed to ship out

Agree with this, we have had a great window. Put the money aside and review in January. Due to the window shutting later and the international break there are only 11 weeks until January and ypu would think Japh would be getting the minutes in Europa and Carabao anyway.

Without knowing the alternatives being discussed I’d not want to comment on whether I’d like us to go that direction, but equally of Skriniar really is the one we want and it could potentially be done in January then I’m happy that what we’ve got is still pretty damn good so reckon we should wait it out.

Wish I could too but we haven’t (got a chance with Skriniar now)
we have an interest In John stones but I’d say no more than 20% chance of happening

To be honest it's not like Skriniar was going to be the only deal of the window. Would it have been a bonus? Absolutely. But, we are well covered at CB for the time being and Tanganga will have more time to develop. Not the end of the world and a top window nonetheless.

Latest ITK all sounds very sensible. We were happy to deal on MS but not stretch to the £45m
I think this window has now put us in a very strong position. Good Starting quality and depth
We can now us future windows to piece by piece upgrade the starting XI from this excellent window.
Similar to Utd back in their peak days.
One top signing per window/year to keep the side sharp and competitive.
Time for Jose to do his bit now. Loved this last week on the pitch, seems to be clicking nicely. New players looking good.
Well done Spurs. Well done Levy
Thank you to all the ITK

We have had a brilliant window. Upgraded in RB, LB,DM,RW, a no9 and 3rd GK.
CB would have been brilliant but not the end of the world. We do have good options at the moment.

Lets remember, we are already in October, with < 90 days to the Jan window.

There are going to be Clubs , which are going to be more financially hit - so who knows, if require we can bring someone of quality in Jan.
