TN actually sorting his shit out and more importantly Jose seeing it and playing him will be like a new £50m signing. Which right now would probably be worth double. It's almost impossible in the current time to sell him and replace him with someone as talented and break even. Hopefully this works out.

I think with the itk seeming to lean more and more to us signing someone from overseas, the likelihood is that this player will have to quarantine for a week on arrival, meaning that September is probably already a write off in terms of having that player and our signing will sadly be closer to the deadline/ during the next international break.

The poor sucker might already be locked in the local Travelodge

Thanks for the info @Hercules

Certainly eases the concerns about losing more of our named targets. If the 21yo is who I think then I hope he's the one! I assume the budget for him is a fair bit higher than the 25.

Also very interesting news re TN. First time we've heard that about Tanguy wanting to stay and prove himself and its a potential gamechanger. Does explain why links away have died down recently.

Perhaps both Hugo and Moussa have been able to make him see light.

CB and CF, plus maybe AM (assume that’s if Lamela moves on rather than Ndombele based on Herc’s follow up).
Do we expect further outgoings to add to this number, for example Aurier and Sissoko were supposed to be open to offers, will that add a RB and CM to the list?

Kane had to self isolate after his holiday to US
I don't know what the rules are for transfers specifically, but Kane had to quarantine due to it being a holiday like the general public. Teams going away for matches do not, so every player on international duty won't need to quarantine when back.

TN not leaving!
UNLESS serious money offer comes in. And even if does not certain he will want to leave. He wants to prove himself, and actually loves being here.
I know anything can happen. But? I doubt it.
I mean this is great as it would save us having to buy a creative CM but can’t really see him putting in the required effort and levels of performance but here’s to hoping.

The bit that catches my eye here is the ' creative offensive midfielder' part. For me that's the difference between really competing and coming up short this season. Gio cannot do it on his own.
Agree but the striker has to come In First and Then another quality AM on top of that could be the difference between us coming 5th or 4th in a very competitive top of the table.
Positive news from Herc, has been a good window so far so let’s stay positive and hope we get some developments soon enough.

Perhaps. I also wonder whether there has been a chat with Mourinho similar to the one that the manager had with Alli on 'All Or Nothing'.

Fingers crossed he does want to stay and hopefully he will get some games in where he will run!

Great to hear a change in mentality from Mr T,let's hope it is transparent on the pitch too.

I am more relaxed this transfer window knowing Jose is at the helm and that we have a greater financial need for success now than before that Danny boy will do us proud!

With the signings so far and Herc saying more to come, I’m assuming there must have been some absolute assurances to get JM to manage the squad. I don’t think he would have come otherwise. Probably a crap assumption. Either way, the itk has me feeling more optimistic than ever.

just donated hope it helps - NHS worker ltd funds.
If it hasn't already been said 50 times (which tbf is not enough) - on behalf of SC - we love what you and your colleagues are doing for the nation. Pretty sure words will never accurately express the appreciation. Much love.

Going on everything Herc has said, we must be confident of trimming the fat with any two of the more obvious candidates leaving, otherwise I can’t overly reconcile it.

Pleased about the Ndombele update but it is at odds with so much of what we hear that I’m not going to start the conga line just yet.

Seriously though - surely everyone on here wants Tanguy to succeed. It's been one season FFS. Let's give him the chance to turn it around. I didn't grow up until I was 30... or perhaps I'm still growing up and I'm 40 now.

Hopefully the strikers Herc mentions gets sorted out. With 9 games in 3 weeks or so we desperately need another body or two upnfront to take some of the burden away from our forwards.

If we do get 2 strikers in it will be to replace Kane when he leaves next season. Actually that will be the case if it’s just 1 we sign.

Thanks for the info. Can you pop into the coronavirus thread and let us know when the vaccine will be available?

I absolutely want Tanguy to succeed at Spurs. He’s got huge potential and could be a great player. My only concerns came from the reports that his attitude sucked and he didn’t get on with JM. It sounds like that’s not the case anymore and he’s ready to mature and work hard for the team.
