Yes, Roma is a step up. They might struggle with Juventus and not make it far in the CL but they are at least in the CL and not getting beat 3 times in a season by West Ham.
Playing a shit league with half empty stadiums with clubs struggling financially.

So what if we lost to roma 3 times this season under a better manager and if he performs better he could get a bigger club like a barca, Madrid even PSG ffs.

Personally don't see lloris leaving this year however money talks....

Adebayor linked to Monaco again. Did they get berba as a stop gap but the fans seem to like him however if anyone can afford him just don't know weather that's old links TBF but that's just opinion. Hopefully he does buzz off just to release some of his wages

It is gonna cost a lot of money to get Lloris for whoever buys him, at the very least they will need to break the world record for a goalkeeper.

Dangerously close to a criticism of ODL there. You do know you've flagged yourself up now and they'll be watching you, right?

Be careful what you wish for, better the devil you know :cautious:
Never fear. I was once one of them. I know their weaknesses and tactics.

Cheers for sharing fellas, appreciated. Not entirely a shock the unrest. I'm still hopeful that these players will await the outcome of the new managerial appointment before making any decisions.
Personally I think FDB has the profile, and more importantly the history with Jan to get him back to his PL team of the year form. With an interested Vertonghen marshalling a more tactically organised/adept defence, that could prompt Hugo to stay.
Ade going, I'm less concerned about, as good as he can be on his day, I'd rather take a slight down step in class with more good days, a Bony type signing, though that has no actual links.
I think FDB has the profile to subdue any restless players. Pochettino wouldn't be a bad shout for manager in terms of ability, but based on profile may not appease the unsettled factions so much, and would result in the need for big squad changes again.
Hopefully the players will settle, and we'll be just left with minor squad juggling, as in upgrades on Dawson, Rose/Benny, Siggi and maybe Ade if he goes.

Think the PSG and FFP is a doubled edged sword with regards to Lloris.

In our favour they can't waltz in offer £30m and get it done if they want to comply in the future. They've got to move towards breaking even which means they'll need to sell to buy.

BUT Lloris counts as home trained for the CL spots and Sirigu wouldn't so that encourages them to go after him.

Knowing us they'll finance buying Lloris by selling Lavezzi to Arsenal for £30m.
Agree...but I do know that they want to cash in on Pastore

I was always under the impression that it was at least rumoured that AVB wanted to quit and we agreed to let him go?
I can at least take some responsibility for that theory. And I stand by it too.

But then I'm not ITK, so... ?
Put all the pieces together & it looked like a 'shall I go?' 'Yep, fuck off then' situation. And so we got Tim. Levy, even in full Colonel Kurtz mode, wouldn't have wanted this last 6 months...

Should have said "no, stay where you are." then. This is all on Conehead I'm afraid.

what about a swap and cash for Lloris?
If we were to lose Lloris, I would wish we would at least look at Mattia Perin. He has the largest upswing of any keeper in the world. He won't cost a fortune and his value is also going to skyrocket after this world cup. He will begin taking over for Buffon as the Italian #1, after this summer. He has stated that he wont' leave Genoa for an in league rival (has stated he won't accept a transfer to Milan), but I'm sure we could bring him here if we tried.

Who knows, we may end up getting a nice £25m investment from the Qatar Tourism Authority, and £13m from PSG.

FdB for me, Eriksen onside would be a given, with Vertonghen it would snowball as Dembele/Chadli would almost certainly be onside too, wouldn't take long for the others to see a little group of happy campers and want a part of it.

Agreed. FdB might be our best chance at keeping the bulk of the squad together.

100% this. It is plainly obvious that once again our club is a mess. Surely this is Levy's last chance to sort it out?
FDB is the answer for me, not only for his obvious coaching abilities but for being the once person that can bring this disjointed bunch together. With FDB we don't need a lot on investment……with someone else it will mean a complete overhaul yet again

Whilst the players won't, and shouldn't, decide the next manager you wonder if they too have a strong preference. You can imagine that with Vertonghen and Eriksen singing his praises they'd be more receptive to FDB than Poch. I think I've changed my mind and FDB is the best guy for us at the moment and into the future. The last thing any new guy needs to be dealing with is rebuilding and/or squad unrest. FDB has more chance of uniting the squad.

After continually playing behind an absolutely appalling back line, I think we have a moral obligation to let Lloris leave.

Loathe to see him go but deserves better.

Lloris is happy here atm and waiting for the new manager to come in.
If PSG came along i dont think he could turn it down thou thats just Onion. But the price would have to be very high for DL to sell i was told this. I was told he wont be leaving unless a big offer comes in. Can PSG really do that with FFP?

Alot of players will be linked with moves but untill the new manager comes only 1 or two may leave. Most waiting to see who comes in and then will speak to him before they decide if they want to go.

Is the right answer - such common sense and all the rest is usual sensationalist bull.

Of course some of the players are not happy - would you be with Dim Tim?

Nothing a FDB won't correct ! Simples
