I don't want Modric to go. Nor do I want another summer like the previous one.

If Modric wants to go and Daniel feels it makes sense now then it has to be, at the least, £44 million and abroad.

Under no circumstances should we sell him to Chelsea, United or City

Abroad, £44m minimum and we can talk.

If he want to leave and there's some truth to the rumoured bid,
then it's a fair offer considering it's a foreign club.
Try 30+Sahin? Buy Yilmaz - the many turks in our area would go crazy

Personally will need other ITKs to back this up before I believe it....

Sure we all want to belive if Modric goes it will be abroad, but a bettting man would still put him at United or Chelsea.

Everyone else would also go crazy when Sahin starts running the show! Better all round player then mods! Plus we get 30 million on top?!? Haha DL would give his wife another baby if he pulled off that deal lol

38 million as an opening bid at this stage of the window seems too good to be true, given that Madrid will be aware of our preference to sell abroad as well.

If this is accurate, could turn out quite well all things considered.

Not if they know we turned down £45m + Kalou last summer.

It just shows they are serious.

after the season Modric just had I think 38mill is a bargain, if its true I reckon they'd be at loggerheads over this one

Exactly, I don't see why people think its far fetched as an opening bid. It's known that morinho and levy get on, and even if he didn't know him I'm sure its pretty well known across Europe that u don't want to piss off or low ball levy, not if u actually want to come out with something at the end. Proper teams know how to play the game and no when not to mess about. They'll know what we turned down last year, so offering slightly less then that is good practice just to see where the water lies.
Not like the blue scum who think they can just waltz in and waltz out with a bargain- I think very few people will actually try publicly courting our players again after they saw the reaction to last summers debacle, which can only be a good thing.
