I don't mean to disrespect the ITK's, but don't we get this every year? We're supposedly always working on something 'big' at the end of the window, but it very rarely comes off. I just hope the club aren't putting all their eggs in one basket, leaving us scrambling for dross on deadline day.

One thing I believe we can say about this window, whatever has happened or not, I do not think we've been doing this at all this summer. Almost to the contrary.

Well DL did deliver VdV to Harry on the last day, but yes, it's generally Jenas, F Campbell, Sissoko...

It's been said a couple of times that there have been deals ongoing for weeks. I doubt the "big" signing would be a random one they just started on.

It's because we're trying to sign cast offs from big clubs.

These players aren't available at the start of the window and will probably only consider us when they're really really desperate at the end of a window.

The timing is the only reason why a signing of this ilk is possible.

When I read Big and Gamechanger or Special I get my hopes up and expecting someone that fits those 3 categories. I just know I'm going to be underwhelmed.

Trying not to get too excited. The good thing is that there are only 3 days left. So not long to wait now. Right now as long as we get Aurier and Barkley, plus Sancho I will be very happy.

Anything else is a bonus. Plus the signings of Sanchez, Foryth and Gazzinga. It would be a a very good window.
