Thanks for the update again @JJetset. Interesting stuff indeed, all the ITK seems to point to us going for another talented player and that ties in with the Hitchin info on having a good ear to the ground when it comes to player availability! COYS!

Wow at JJ. Him being positive like this is a whole different ball game as he's usually so guarded and likes to downplay. Call that an extra double lovely confirmation/backing of Herc, GreyFox and Gyid positive pieces.

Hadn't even had a heart flutter over info in the last few days, but combine all of these with JJ and I'm now intrigued.

Cheers to JJ for the update, but I'd still recommend everyone else keep at least a partial handle on the resulting the outburst of optimism. All JJ has said is that, apart from maybe SA and RB, we have other targets that aren't being discussed in the press or on here yet... however, he's said nothing about how close we are to signing any of those players who we don't know about yet, nor how likely it is that we will get them in the end.

Guess we'll just have to see where we land at the end of the week.

Its a shame as no excitement for you but you are not close to who we are after and the names being mentioned aren't in the reckoning apart from potentially SA & RB ....

Thanks for the update JJ nice to see you are okay as I was worried because you have been so quiet, I actually prefer not knowing who the targets are as it's less likely we will get gazumped.

Looks like we will be in for a fun end to the window.

Only one I am going to be heartbroken about if we dont sign him is Aurier as trippier really is not at the standard required how the hell can we be expected to go to the bernabeu with him vs ronaldo and bale?. Really hope its close to completion.

Encouraging tidbits from @JJetset there and clearly without having to be Sherlock Holmes that the player(s) coveted by us are in the forward area.

I would say at this stage of the window any blockbuster deal would be severely unlikely but as seen elsewhere, this is an unprecedented transfer window so all bets are off!

I like the sound of JJ's news. The club has gone some way to plug leaks in recent times so I won't surprised if something comes out of left field and surprises us. I'm sure this has happened in the past where we've signed someone significant pretty much out of the blue. It's so easy for leaks to occur, especially when agents are always trying to drum up business for their clients, so getting a good signing on the quiet will point to some great work from our guys.

I'm not getting overly excited by JJs info, he has only said we are going after people, not that we are close, and not that they are big stars. Seems to be fairly neutral info to me. Info is appreciated either way. Just not getting my hopes up.

It's very interesting to see who he's on about though. Looking forward to seeing.

Its pleasing to here JJs news. I have no doubt we will try hard to strengthen, but huge concerns with just 2 days of window to close them. Its unnecessary high risk. I assume the players in radar are at clubs where bigger names have come in and the current stars have opportunity to leave. Not sure if this is stupid or brilliant, but as we are already 5 points adrift of United is a uphill battle.
