I don't think it's necessarily going to be a 'big' sponsor deal on the shirts btw.

Sounds like we were trying to do a deal linking the naming rights of the stadium and the shirt sponsorship, but that fell through meaning we're probably aiming for a relatively short-term shirt deal until we're a bit more concrete on when the stadium is actually going to be built.

My thoughts exactly!

Would that even be allowed?

Conflict of interest if we were to play PSG in CL

Sponsorship doesn't give you any rights as to the management of the club or the team so there is no conflict. A deal is struck and then that contract is binding for the duration so there is no way they can threaten to not pay up if we beat their team etc. Anyway i am hoping for a big deal to help flood the coffers and afford competitive wages so that fat Spanish singer bird can start chirping about Mr Villa.

i've made a sponsorship offer via the "contact us" tab on the official site.

i've suggested the use of that well known stationary retailer Pen Island.
the shirt would read www.penisland.com
Two points:
Do we really want to be sponsored by someone that doesn't move around?
And don't Bet365 already sponsor someone?

 lets see who has a dirty mind.

I don't know the full financial implication, but wouldn't it be better to get a stadium sponsor (they are 30 years after all) and a separate shirt sponsor (run every 3 or so)? Lumping them together seems like you short yourself money over the course of 30 years? Or does one compensate for the loss in the other? Quite an interesting subject

I saw this yesterday and wasn't gonna bother cos I don't think we ever had any clarification if that Looks Like Modric guy was officially (!) ITK but since it's so fucking quiet!
SO, MIGHT NOT BE ITK:
parker is off to eiither west ham or qpr and sadly huddlestone is being offered around. Fulham and norwich most notable interest.

I think Huddlestone would do well at Fulham under Jol, and Parker would definitely help QPR in the Championship.

Maybe not ITK but not really a surprise. Parker is on the decline now...age and injuries are catching him up and well Thud, the fact that he still has bloody long hair tells a story in itself but we can't keep stockpiling midfielders that aren't quite cutting the mustard. Sad? Yes, Surprise? Not really

They'd do well at any of those teams.

not sure whether i should get excited about our potential signings or just believe nothing. Villa sounds too good to be true

Thanks for passing on. I'm sceptical to this, not sure how an ex youth team coach would know this.

Maybe we've threatened to sell Bale to Madrid unless Barca sell us Villa for a knock down price :D
