how many 30 somethings have united in side?
u cant beat experience when u get down to it and we dont have much imvho. alot of our team talk the talk and alot of time thats all they do..its about finding nice blend of youth and experience. harry is getting us there

Good point. Real Madrid didn't get him because they couldn't afford him, but Mourinho definitely wanted him (and has made all sorts of threats and complaints in the aftermath). Even at his age, I wouldn't be upset if he was how we are going dutch.

Clearly I was exaggerating, but the only way a club goes whilst stockpiling old players is down.

well we have real young midfield, energtic where legs are needed. back bone of side is pretty experienced. what we need more of is players of a certain mentality who will and can go to places like goodison and st james park and grind us out wins with help of youngers ones like lennon bale and the like..players like jenas ekotto and a liittle lesser extent hutton and defoe will always let u down more often than not... we are missing that littel bit of real class that puts teams on defensive foot before ball is kicked if u ask me.. that player/s is hard to find...wud love centre mid player and foward, real hard working pacy players.. the dream for me in this window is diarra and suarez but i am totally stumped on a striker addition. i see qualities in all been linked just dont know which is best fit but im sure harry does thats all that counts

Punctuation isn't your strong point is it :wink:.

However, I agree with you. We need a striker with a genuine winning mentality. Suarez will fight tooth and nail for us (ahem), but ideally we need a player like Drogba. I still think Suarez would be a fantastic signing for us.
