great shout really, could be a good back up option to Brad if thats the route we are gonna go. WOuld much rather see us sign Stelkenberg or Lloris

None Of these ( Lloris, stelkenberg or kasper) are on our list of GK's the scouts and tony parks have looked at this year to come in to replace gomes and maybe cudicini.

They would have had to time it right - firstly he would have been in Switzerland with the Dutch squad and then flying to Munich this morning for their friendly v Bayern.

Levy takes a boyscout in his handluggage, equipped with a full dossier of pan-continental flight schedules and those tracking shoes you used to get with a compass in the heel and animal imprints on the sole so you can easily identify your quarry. Note to avoid confusion: we are after a footballer, not an animal (say, like a PIG. Or am I trying to throw you off the scent?)

JJ saying they weren't just in Amsterdam can mean a huge number of targets - of course all clubs in Netherlands but an hour's drive or plane flight of under an hour can include Belgium, northern France and cities in Germany such as Dortmund.

The list is endless. IMO, the only thing to take away from JJ's ITK is that its not only Vertanghen who we are trying to do a deal on right now.

The pessimists view would be that they have made a pig of it and he is not coming :)
I can't help thinking they went two's up on Ulrika Johnnson.

Well she does have a thing for bald men.

OK... Carry on

Bastion who? Surely you mean Swienstieger = Pig farmer
You mean Schweinsteiger which literally translated means Pig mounter!

SIlly name, really good footballer. Was injured a lot this season, but he was ne of Bayern's best players in the final and will have been gutted to have missed the penalty. But erm, no... never gonna happen (us signing him).

The guessing whilst probably completely daft, is at least amusing and honestly a welcome change from the dreariness that had pervaded this forum.

I say pray continue...

My own opinion is that the itk meant only Vertonghen, but JJ has of course set the cat amongst the proverbials. Of course, does it have to be a player? DoF has been spoken about again...
