I don’t understand what the uproar is about tbh, we’ve spent what? around £80/90m if we go through with all the obligations/options. I can’t imagine that with covid and no CL the club is in a financially stable enough position to spend the Kane money (another £130m+) without actually selling him. Surely you didn’t expect us to spend near or over £200m in this window, of all windows? Also have to remember that the £150m we’ve spent on Lo celso, Ndombele, berwijn and Rodon is yet to have a dramatic effect on the squad, we can’t just keep spending money without getting people out the door, another thing we haven’t done enough of.

Some of those that people we need out the door should never have come through the door in the first place. Same old , same old, too much shite to shift.

Seriously what has happened! We were flooded with links and info for weeks. Exciting leaks almost every few days.

In the last 2/3 weeks when things should be ramping up its been so quiet.

I really want to believe that we've got loads in the pipeline but I just don't feel it.

Alas we do and hopefully you'll feel it soon when they've been flushed out.

That’s a bit disingenuous. Not saying you did personally but most people were more than happy with most of the people who “came through the door in the first place”. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Everybody is always clambering for new signings - and 1 or 2 a window is never enough - but then complain that they didn’t want them in the first place when they don’t work out how they hoped. People were very happy when we got Dier, Lo Celso, NDombele, Sanchez, Aurier, Doherty etc now they’re shite we can’t shift. I think it’s called having your cake and eating it. All signings are a gamble.

What the hell has happened to the Tomiyasu deal?

It has seemingly been close since July and it appeared we were only a couple of million off?!

Have we shelved it and are putting the funds elsewhere? Or is this a repeat of the Nkoudou transfer and he's actually being stored in a cupboard somewhere to be revealed on the deadline day just to say that we managed to sign someone late in the window?

Bit of a problem that we still have 3 right backs I'd guess. Tanganga's strong start to the season might also have had an effect. My guess is that had Tanganga gone on loan to Galatasary and Aurier been sold Tomiyasu would have been brought in .

Wasn't there also ITK suggesting we hit pause on that one due to his injury? No point bringing him and paying his wages while he sits in the physio room.

Injury or something with Japanese FA not meeting our demands to not call him for some specific international duty.

Sarr came from nowhere and it looks done. Just saying

but someone who is going straight back out on loan, surely we need players to impact the team this season. dont get me wrong, it seems a good deal, and the kid is supposed to be mustard. But id not heard of him before the news broke, i very highly doubt 95% of people here had.

Yeah if he goes out on Loan hopefully he isn’t one of the 4 ins the ITK’s have been mentioning
