Hold your nerve ladies and gentlemen.
Still a way to go but I reckon we have this sorted.
Keep the faith

I'm getting as nervous and disappointed as the rest of you but if everything was off and we were getting nobdoy, wouldn't trix or JJ have already told us?

No news is very strange which means something must be going on.
I don't know however if it was me I'd be locking myself in a room to avoid the lunatics

Not getting in another midfielder would be reckless but not the end of the world.

Not getting in another striker would be reckless and fucking stupid. I don't care what the OS says, Kane as our only striker is a recipe for disaster.

Here comes the apologists...

Let's not dress it up... It'll be a very poor window without a striker and to a degree, a midfielder.

Stuff is still ongoing. Whether we get it over the line or not I don't know, but we certainly haven't given up yet.

I'm glad the suicide squad is out in full force, but for once, I have to agree. £2m isn't going to build the stadium, it isn't going to have us doing a Leeds, it isn't going to breach FFP. If we're really going to fall short of the mark by £2m and play a season with 50+ games and one recognized striker, that's just fucking poor.

Dont know how anyone can find excuses for this if you want someone bid earlier and bid higher.
Im not really sure why people got excited about today because we rarely do anything on the last day, we have done our business last week all finished.
I hope for the clubs sake they know what they are doing because its a long season with not much up top relying on kane for goals is a big ask.
We always seem to depart a transfer window incomplete never having the squad to its truest depth.

4th bid in.

I bet this was wrapped up weeks ago and this is just the merry dance

I'd rather have Kane and some acadmey kids for the next 6 months than spunk 25m on an overrated, unproven, vertically challenged striker.

Why are so many mugs talking about being short for "the whole season"? At worst, it is until January. And, being confident on the SB deal (think Levy has chanced his arm but will eventually pay the extra), we are just short of a genuine CDM but have so many attacking options now, i think that won't be as important as many make out.

As I said in the Berahino thread, I'm ever the optimist so presuming JJ was saying 6 as Peace wants it to go to the last minute to make it look like we came in with a ridiculous offer they couldn't refuse (although announced as an 'undisclosed' amount and less than he would have wanted ideally).

I mean, surely they can't keep that many forwards happy?

And we can't keep one CF fit!

Hope WBA accept this bid for Berahino and hope we can get a DM in too. I doubt either will happen. Knowing us, we'll get De Gea'd on Berahino
