Hopefully MS will show a bit more motivation than he did yesterday if he comes to us. Clearly he can't be arsed to play for them any more!

I think I have deciphered the ITK:-

The Self Preservation is a Song in the Italian Job.

The infamous Line in the film is "Your Only supposed to blow the Bloody Doors Off"

Jim Morrison was the Lead Singer in The Doors

Marrianne Faithful was partying with Jim Morrison on the night that he died.

Marrianne Faithful was the the ex partner of Mick Jagger

Mick Jagger recorded Dancing in the Street with David Bowie

One of David Bowies' Biggest hits was Ashes to Ashes.

Ashes to Ashes was a BBC1 Series starring Philip Glenister

Philip Glenisters Birthday is 10th February.

Radamel Falcao's Birthday is the 10th February.

So we are signing Falcao!!!

So simple when you think about it (y)

Nice thinking, but I Think you took the wrong way from Jim Morrison. It's really simple from there. Jim Morrison is buried in Paris, so, it's obvious Cavani we are signing!

So far today, in this thread, we've had A&C call out Jair for his over-confidence in the Daws answer, we've then had him say that he would disagree, if he was neg repping kind of guy, a post in which Daws was claimed to be the answer to the cryptic. Then we've had Stoof go through this thread, liking all the posts in which I questioned that Daws would be the answer, and rating optimistic a post in which Daws off is offered as the answer. So apart from the fact that Daws seems a real stretch as an answer to the cryptic anyway, what do you reckon?

Btw, your attempt at an answer is even worse than the Daws one! :barefoot:

I actually thought Capoue looked really good against West Ham on Sunday, at least until he was moved into defence after the sending off. He broke up WH's attacking play well, played plenty of nice passes and i must say showed a lot of promise for the season ahead. Altogether, i'm not really sure why we really need MS. Yes he is a very good player but the price that he will probably cost together with the plethora of CM's we already have really makes me wonder why we really need him. Especially as it seems this deal is going to take and has already taken quit a bit of effort. A defender, LW and maybe a young striker, in my mind, should be priorities before we spend big on Morgen.

If it's right it wouldn't be a great cryptic. There's nothing to lead you there. Cryptics, of the kind you're thinking of should be confounding until you get them, but there should be a trail which you follow, and once you get it it's bloody obvious. You've done the equivalent of find a picture of Jesus in a slice of toast!

The SC cryptics, on the whole, tend to be more simple, and they're not necessarily designed to be got...

I disagree. If it's right, it's a great cryptic. It's one of the most famous quotes in movie history so it's certainly not tenuous.

Stoof liking your post is just to egg you on with your bet so SC becomes richer.

Do I think it's Daws off? Yes I don't.

I am sure they were at the same club.

Eitherway, is that only the reason why my assumptions are wrong??

If so all we need is cast-iron proof that Mariane Faithfull was in the Rock 'n Roll Circus on that fatefull night and I've cracked it!!!:whistle:
