Morning all

Today's thread should be used to discuss ITK. A quick glance in the Read Only will tell you what that currently is. And it ain't Loic Remy, but if discussing him gives you an erection, there's always the player thread for you to wave it about in.

Last night Mrs A&C slammed the iPad down on the table and said, "There's pictures of naked women on here, what have I told you about going on porn sites?"

"But I haven't been on porn sites," I replied, pointing at the screen. "Look, she's laying on our sofa."

Then she told me she was leaving me because of my disgusting obsession with shit.

I nearly fell off my stool.

The Italian Job? Quincy Jones? Cockney's? Harry?

We're signing someone from Italy or maybe our Italian is going to get some gold for us. Then leave it half way up a mountain.

Destro?

Italian Job would be my starting point, presumably we're looking to buy an Italian or player based in Italy.

Personally I'm not a fan of players from Italy to the EPL as they seem to struggle so in kinda hoping I'm off the mark with regards to the ITK.

It's likely to be Dastro. He's Italian and recently linked.

However, self preservation can be attributed to Southampton's stance on Scheinderlin.

The theme song from Italian Job was 'self preservation society' which makes me think the Goat is saying that players we want to shift are putting their own self interest (money) ahead of what is best for the club

I think that there's likely to be a lot of problems with selling players this summer.

I think we tended to pick up or play generally average players, who played far above their ability, under Redknapp. Since then, we've not seen the same performances under AVB or Sherwood and have seen the squad padded with, it has to be said, players who are there for sentimental purposes only.

Dawson is a damn good soldier (of sorts), but he has been playing above his abilities for quite a while now. It's hard to get the club captain to agree to go and play for relegation fodder, though. Or to go and live in Hull. I don't know what's worse!

Don't get me wrong at all, I like Dawson and he has a lot of mental characteristics that we need at the club (hence why he's captain), but at the same time I think we need to move on and stop being sentimental about players who just don't fit the bill any more.

As per Gomes, Bentley and many more besides them (Khumalo?), we seem to get stashed with players that either no one wants, or the players won't move to.

I'll believe Dawson is off when I see it, but considering he's injured right now I can't see him passing a medical anywhere soon.

So is Daws off to Italy, or was that reference just about him looking after himself?

It's based on the quote from the film, "You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off"

Doesn't mean he's off to Italy, The Italian Job was just used to get that quote in. More likely he's off to Hull now that they have the Long money
