Pretty sure he's a Spurs fan though - not sure whether he's what we need mind you.

Seems like he's been around awhile (he kind of has since he was with us as a child basically), but he's still only 24 and in the SPL he's scored 69 goals in 115 appearances. Every time I watch him he's impressive with strength that doesn't seem to match his body type. An Aguero-lite if you will.

I am not convinced on the 'no money' thing, there is always money for the right player. No money for overpriced players, perhaps.
Also not convinced that the transfer kitty is being squeezed for stadium funds. Most of the stadium would be funded by sponsorship, as yet unannounced/not agreed, but work hasn't really started either. Also, I have worked at companies where there is an operating budget for day to day aspects of the business and a capital budget for big projects. The two don't cross over, they are ringfenced and allocated well ahead of time. The operating budget would be wages and transfer fees both in and out, the capital budget would be training ground and stadium.
The new PL TV deal is worth loads, guaranteed income. That plus Spurs' income from this season, last season, sales, etc etc, we won't be skint. Spurs has always been run in a sensible way, to now not have any money would be surprising.

I really really really hope the potless notion is one we are putting out there to try keep prices down
No doubt we have come a long way under DL guidance, but I for one am rightly fed up with buying for the future and being just "1 or 2 players" off competing for the title - Yes buying for the future is good, but also buying for now is what might bring the glory we all desire - I want football not economics, it may be a foolish notion and no one wants to end up like Leeds, but it wont stop me wanting glory days now.
