I'm not trying to be rude, but are you going to take the word of an itk, who could be literally anybody, over a direct quote from the player's agent? Don't you think it would be in the agency's interest to make it seem as though there was a lot of interest in the player?

Exactly.
Just wish/hope that when one trail runs dry another is found.
Pleasingly, when the Villa deal died, within a day the Benteke link was running strong. It at least represents us trying, for now.
However, the Croatian lads appear to have put the kibosh on a move here and so we're interested in... ? ? ?
They can't be the only 2 young players with star potential in world football, & Baldini signed rafts of young, promising South Americans at Roma.
I concede that he might not have been entirely responsible for those signings, but he must know where to look!
