Why do you believe that he would make that much difference? He was part of a Fulham team that had the worse defensive record in the league.

I'm not saying he's a bad signing, but I don't think he's going to come in and shore up the defence. It's arguable whether he's even going to end up playing as a LB in a back 4.

He didn't play as a LB at Fulham though, not a good way to judge.

It's clear that Poch has signed him as a LB long term, I'm personally excited to see what he can do there, has to be better than Rose has anyway.

What you're saying is true, I just feel Sess is more intelligent and his use of the ball is better. I do think Poch seems as a LB, but Poch likes his FBs high up the pitch and Sess will be more productive

Anyone got a link to the presser? ideally one where you can hear what the questions are.

Yeah I think the Eriksen situation becomes a problem if he stays and doesn't sign a new deal. I assume we play others ahead of him, but then it'll be low hanging fruit for fans and media after every poor result/performance.

What really confuses me with Poch is why he played Eriksen away at City, where we looked to counter, and then benched him for Newcastle who were always going to play deep. I guess that selection headache is part of the reason why he's grumpy.

with the performance of Eriksen v Man City didn't look like a player knowing where he wants to be other than his dream RM, and if he is also showing that in training then Poch has to make a decision. He made the difference when he came on v Villa, but looked lost v City.

we have very rarely played a really high tempo at the start of a season, and more and more teams are sitting deeper and deeper when they play us. we don't have our 1st team settled or fit at the moment, uncertainty with all the players that can still leave. If you think about it how do you prepare for a fixture on the Saturday when you don't even know if that player will still be your player by the kick off. it's bad enough doing it and then a player has to pull out last minute.

anyway after seeing Poch post PC interview, and his answer about him walking after the NLD, I hope he is as jovial for the rest of the PC, because those 2 bits have shown a pretty happy Poch

Can't argue with that in the long term. I just don’t see it making a difference in the short term, which is what we really need right now.

Well it seems a bit odd that if the club are trying to get rid of Rose, why is he currently first choice left back ahead of Davies despite his appalling form.

Because Davies had no pre-season and is just getting back.

Yeah fair enough, but as per my second point, it’s arguable that most of the good stuff we’ve seen from him has been in the opposition’s final third.

Long term I see him being a success, but at the moment we need some short term solutions.

Alasdair ‘last to know’ Gold will transcribe every word shortly.

But what if the club have just told Poch what they want the fans to know. Isn't the first time Jesus has been stabbed in the back after a last supper.

You’re right. Stabbing his right hand man might piss him off. Although I’m not sure about when it happened before?
