a couple months into his spurs career, I thought modric was too easily pushed off the ball, and wouldn't be able to cope with the pace of English football. in retrospect, that may not have been entirely accurate.

No, you were right. We had to sell him in the end to some Spanish outfit.

I get the feeling that there'll be a few apologies headed in the direction of Danny Rose come the end of the season (me included).

Think he's coming good.

At least you acknowledge that you were wrong Arsene.

I really really hope that this is the case. Definitely too soon to judge though. I didn't attack Rose as a LB, but was/am of the opinion that he wasn't good enough for a top 4 defence. Like many, that doesnt mean I havent supported him and would be more than happy to apologise come June!

I aplogise for thinking that Peter Crouch was a fantastic buy, based on the fact that his bird is fit!!

Oh, I used to like Jamie Redknapp for exactly the same reason

But my selection process did hit the bullseye with the signing of Raffa (although she f*cked off!) ;)

Then AVB would have walked and taken the PSG job, Levy knows that. But for the record I believed Levy when he said Bale wouldn't be sold but I can't blame him for selling for that kind of crazy money.

Never for one second believed that once Bale indicated his intention to leave and Madrid mentioned WR fee that Levy would not sell.

I don't blame him either. The way football contacts and transfers work is scandelous imo. It's similar to slavery and it needs to change.
How I don't know but something is needed.

I apologise for posting a "disagree" every time someone starts a thread saying "Player X (insert scapegoat of choice) is not fit / good enough to play for Spurs"

I thought Dean Marney would be as good as Stephen Carr.

I thought Kevin Prince-Boateng would never be a first-team regular for a club playing in the top-half of their domestic league (England/Spain/Italy/Germany only).

I will own up to really wanting us to sign Simon Davies

Why on Earth would you post this in the Apology thread?!

Simon Davies gave us several years of excellent service, especially taking into account the shower we were when he and Etherington first signed. Obviously he [in his prime] wouldn't get in our team these days because we've improved so much as a club since his time with us, but I can't believe there's any Spurs fans who would look back on Simon Davies' spell with us with anything other than fondness? Right? o_O

I thought Qu Bo was going to be sensational (I wasn't young at the time either, just not as football savvy) ...

I'm truly sorry I ever thought that.

I also refused to admit Postiga wasn't doing it for us and kept saying to my mate "he'll come good"

Sad times :(

I mean about the 1001 things you're wrong about Mullers. I'm sorry to say you're just one of those people who mostly gets things wrong, occasionally you're right mind you, but mostly completely and utterly wrong. I guess it must be a balance in the Universe thing where over all people should be averagely wrong and right about things, but to be true, for every person like me who's nearly always right, there must be a balancing person like you who's nearly never right.

Without Rain there would be no Sun, and just think what we would miss without those long winter nights. Not sure what Chelsea account for though...
