I thought Giovani dos Santos was going to be the next Cristiano Ronaldo, got that wrong. Also thought that Adel Taarab would come back and haunt us by scoring 20 goals in the Premier League.

Apologies to any fan that paid good money to watch that yesterday...... We will come back stronger for sure

Even Mr Townsend is getting into the spirit of this thread...

He is the last player who should be apologizing for the performance yesterday - have any other Spurs players done this on Twitter? He was the spark and ray of light beyond all else for us, and now he is modest with it too! This makes me like Townsend even more - becoming a legend already. Loving his skill - just has to laugh at the injury he early gave a person he was turning yesterday. Hardly ever gives the ball away - is like glue to his boot. He is one of the few players playing (Apart from out English cavalry) that can truly appreciate what it means to play for Spurs and what the match against the Hammers is to the fans. He has come through the ranks and been tortured through enough loan spells to have to fight hard to earn his place in the first team, and it seems like he appreciates it too.

I apologise for hating Dawson. I wish he wasn't a footballer as he seems such a nice guy but I can't shake this inherent dislike for him due to his inability to perform for us without looking like a fucking oaf.

He was not alone in "oaf" stakes yesterday..........Daws is no Beckenbauer granted but Sam, give him credit. Targeted them (centre backs) yesterday and got it pretty much spot on. Got of AVB highline and stuck it where the sun don't shine.

I can only apologise to all around me for taking this game far too seriously at times. Could not help but feel like a stroppy teenager last night.

I will apologise for telling everyone at work especially gooners and chavs that we would be top by sunday cos we will beat the hammers cos we always do but in my defence I didn't realise that us fans would turn up Sunday but not the team and management.
And finally I want to say sorry for bigging us up every week by saying we will get top four and now I think we may miss out again but will reach final of europa league.

I want to make an apology to Aaron Lennon for insisting that he wasn't what we needed for almost two years. Without the width he provides we look so damned tame in attack. Playing two inverted wingers isn't working for us at all, it just creates a lack of space for players like Eriksen and Soldado to operate in. It also makes us so easy to defend against for the sides who show up at the lane and just park the buss and are happy with a 0-0.

As soon as Lennon is fit I want him back on the right wing and probably Townsend on the left with Rose and Walker as fullbacks, now that is some fucking width.

Sorry Lennon!

When we signed Lamela, Eriksen. and Townsend started to hit his straps thought I wouldnt give Lennon and a second thought again.

Was echoing your sentiments myself during the spam game. Lennon right and Lamela/Townsend left for Villa please.

When Harry was looking like leaving in 2011 I wanted Owen Coyle.

That summer I also wanted us to sell Kaboul and sign Roger Johnson.

Roll up Roll up Roll up.

Where are the posters who said that Capoue, Chadli and Lamela are shit?

But more importantly, who wrote Harry Kane of as a league one player?

Come on guys- it's your chance to find some forgiveness ;)

I was wrong about Taarabt. I really thought he would become a great player.

I also predicted Ryan Mason to make it.

I was harsh on Kane, although as a caveat I'm still not that convinced...which is still probably harsh, but willing to bump him up to the higher levels of Championship as a sweetener, with room to grow further.

Pissing myself at the AVB comments on the first couple of pages...
