If Tevez really has played his last game for City, I genuinely believe that is their season over as far as challenging for the title, and I'd have them finishing 5th.

I can't see them signing a suitable replacement in January. In the summer, sure, but it's well known how difficult it is to take quality players from teams, mid season. Even with City's cash.

Plus, how are the other players going to react to this? There's a chance that it could rally them all together and improve the team unity, but considering their players, I'd think it's more likely that a lot of them will be seeking pay rises after hearing how much Tevez was earning. Which would just cause even more unrest amongst an already unstable bunch of players.

I'm not gonna lie, I really, really hope they do implode as we'll be the ones that benefit the most from a City freefall.

Also, "I'mNotReallyHere", it's really refreshing, after spending some brain destroying time on Bluemoon, to see an intelligent City fan. I'd suggest you stay away from that forum before they eventually turn you into one of them. ;P

Is it just me, or does anyone else think he took the City job just so he could retire earlier. On £286k a week, if he stays on that for two years, then he earns £30m. He is probably living off his United earnings still, so he could save £30m. If he earns 2% interest a year, that's £600k, if he earns 3.3% that's an income of £1m a year, and in Argentina that will go a long way.

He could move back to Argentina to live with his daughters and live like a King for the rest of his life.

Like I said, Tevez is a mental-head and Balotelli is in the same mould.

The league is better off without these parasites and I hope Man City show their money and stick him in the reserves.

Cheers mate. I am actually on BM and have been for two and a half years. You get your share of idiots as you do on most football sites but there are a lot of knowledgeable people on there.

Latest word is that Tevez will categorically not be going anywhere in January. If he wants to leave in the summer he can but until then he's an MCFC player. As for replacements, Edin Dzeko looks like a decent bet. Different type of player but definitely one I think who would improve us. I must say that while Tevez remains at the club I hope he plays because he has said himself that he is willing to play and will give 100% in that time. It would be petty not to. But I will certainly not feel the same way about him as I did before this episode.

As for City's season imploding; I can't see it. As I've said we've got more than enough quality to see ourselves into 4th. If Tevez does stay till the end of the season and we sign Dzeko in January as is being touted we can make a title push. Not necessarily winning it but pushing for it. As I said, see where we are at the end of January and reassess expectations. If we're keeping in touch with the leaders, who's to say we can't win it?

Joorabchian has made Tevez into a bit of a journeyman; every club he's left in the same way as he's currently trying to get out of City. The difference between now and the other times is that we can afford not to sell. He's registered to City (not third party as he has been in the past) so we, not Joorabchian, are in control of where he goes and when.

Wolfsburg are going nowhere this year at the moment, can easily see them parting with Dzeko for £40m which City could easily pay. It's hard to have a better goal record than Tevez has but Dzeko is one of the best finishers wither either foot or head at the moment so I don't think they'll be weakened that much. Just depends on how long it takes him to adjust to the epl.

If they replace Tevez with Dzeko then they'll be relying heavily on Dzeko to settle in quickly. It took Berbatov at least half a season to get going after coming over from the Bundesliga. Unless of course Adebayor does a job for them in the meantime, but he doesn't seem too commited to City either.

I just hope that if City are in for a striker in January, it isn't for one of our targets.

Can't wait to hear what all those City fans have got to say now, having spouted so much crap about being glad he's going...

City 0-2 Everton on 20 minutes. Classy finish by Baines for the second goal.

Mancini going absolutely mental
