Also Rennes are second in the french Ligue. They’re a champions league quality side. There is zero guarantee our first team will win. Just rest everyone and don’t take the risk. Way too many games coming up
Them doing well in the league might be to our advantage. They need to keep winning games in the league, they have already won the group so i would be surprised if they didnt rest a few.

They might also want us out so go strong. Some teams want to win ?

I'm now happy to sack this off. Only negative is we won't get the enough coefficient points expected this season and that will come into play in 2 years with the new rules

I just want to see a team that is either very strong so we're taking it seriously, or just let it go. No half cocked 5 of starting 11 and 6 muppets please.

For me - you don't build a winning mentality, unless you go into every match expecting to win.

We still need to build that mentality, so I would put out a strong team here, and go for the win. We should have more players available when the knock-out rounds start in February.

Cant believe the amount of people who witnessed Tanganga play like shit at rwb today and think somehow he’ll be the solution to our problems at lwb.

I’d rather have
Reguilon
Davies
Gil
lo Celso
Doherty
White
Retro ziegler
Timothee atouba
Gilberto
Paolo tramezzani

ahead of him there

I'd be tempted to put Markanday in for Son...

I’ve supported Spurs for 30 years and we’ve won two league cups, so I’m all for playing the strongest team and winning this competition.
Ive supported spurs through the same period, everytime we play a strong team, it doesn't look interested and it has never worked out for us

I couldn't care less about our chances in this but the coefficient is too important for us. that we have to go far

That said we have a new manager and now isn't the time to be rotating too much

Vitesse won 6-1 away from home against a similarly placed side on Saturday. They gave us a hell of a game and will be desperate to go through.

The risk of injuries, fatigue and a frantic fixture list (even worse if we go through) are all warnings we can’t ignore.

If this was the Champions League then absolutely we should play our strongest XI. There would be massive rewards for progressing. Europa - questionable, Conference League - absolutely not.

We should also look at is as a last chance saloon for the players who flopped against Mura. It’s one thing being in Conte’s bad books and another dropped into an abyss and left there to rot.

———-—————— Gollini —————————-
—— Tanganga - Rodon - Davies ——-
Doherty — Winks - Ndombele — Sessegnon
————- Gil —— Scarlett —— Bergwijn ———

If any of the kids are registered then I would play them instead of Davies and Sessegnon.

I think Sessegnon is suspended.

I completely agree. Kane looked out on his feet by the end of the game. Also went down holding his ankle.
But everyone wants to run our first team into the ground for some weird reason.
The fact that it’s not even a given we progress if we win what is the point? People will soon moan when we are knackered and have more injuries.
We don’t even have a left back we can play, already lost Emerson too.

I think we've already signed ourselves out of this tournament by losing to Mura with an absolute shambles of a 'performance'.

Just wait and see what Vitesse do to them!

Gollini
Tanganga Rodon Fagan-Walcott
Doherty Ndombele Winks Sessegnon
Markanday Scarlett Gil

John, Lavinier, White, Omole and Clarke all coming off the bench.
Let's see if any of the u23s can standout and force their way into consideration for first team squad, they're doing brilliant at their level. I'd rather we went out of this comp to give Conte better chance of getting us top 4.

Want to see Gil, if healthy, given more game time on the left where he's impressed compared to when on the right.
