That would be one of my only unforced changes. Phillips in for Porro (aware he has played a lot of football), Emerson Royal to RB.

Kulu back in for Son.

Bentancur, Skipp and Lo Celso midfield.

Next game not for another week, then 3 week break so why rest our best RB.

Mostly because he has earned it, and also because I don't see the drop off to Royal as an inverted RB as a critical issue - even if this were a tougher opponent.

Porro is better - that is not the issue, but coming on the back of 7 games in December when he went 90 - a little rest would not be unwarranted.

Rest after this game won't matter if he suffers a muscle fatigue injury in this game... and given all the minutes he has played recently - his muscles are likely to be fatigued.

Was thinking the same. Play Davies at LB, then a youth at CB ... But then I thought that would be next to Royal, and would that be a good idea! Would have been happier for a youth to play next to VDV or Romero and not a RB playing CB.

Emerson at LB surely? He's looked halfway decent covering LB, whereas covering RCB - not so much.

Personally would go with:

- Porro - Phillips - Davies - Emerson -

- Bentancur - Skipp - Lo Celso -

- Deki - Richarlison - Johnson -

Overplaying Porro worries me slightly, but there's 9 days after this until our next match, so he'll get a rest after this one.
