Mauricio: “Son is in better condition because he played, scored 3 for South Korea & trained well. He’s available.”

on that i would say the team poch will pick(not me) will be:

Lloris

Walker Toby Jan Rose

Dier Mason

Son Chadli

Kane

And behind Kane will be either mason and bentaleb in the team or dembele if fit, im hoping for Alex Prichard but cant see poch playing him :(, also cant see Lamela playing after we were 5 minutes away from selling him last week

With the news that Eriksen, Dembele, and Njie aren't ready yet, maybe there's some hope/optimism that we could see this

-----------------Lloris----------------
Walker----Toby-----Jan-----Rose
------------Dier--------Mason------
Son---------------Alli-----------Chadli
------------------Kane------------------

With Kane to fill his boots because of some aggressive support play from Son and Alli especially.

I think we probably will see this team at some point, only that Bentaleb will probably start in the middle with Mason pushed up but then Alli brought on later in the game replacing either Bentaleb or Mason depending on whether we're controlling or chasing the game.

Well with the team news and the fact that it'll be so unlike Poch to start Son...

Lloris
Trippier Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose
Dier
Alli Mason
Lamela Kane Pritchard

Vorm, Fazio, Bentaleb, Onomah, Carroll, Son, Chadli

Im not starting Chadli because i'd let him come off the bench as a striker. Onomah is on the bench to come in as a #10 if we go to a 4231.

With the game being an away day against a weaker opponent, it would be a good game to start Lamela and try to get his confidence back up.

Yeah, I could see that. But if it is a meritocracy and given the need to be on the front foot from the off, then I'd say Mason and Alli have done enough in the recent two games to deserve starting berths. Their good form is movement and attacking intent, and a willingness to break beyond Kane. They don't slow play down much and try to make things happen. If Dier can continue where he left off, then we have good insurance in the middle. And if "Sonny" is ready to go after a positive international 'break', then hopefully Poch will throw him straight into the mix to fill a problem position where Lamela and Dembele haven't really contributed enough.

We should go for the jugular here and get the Mackems crowd on their backs early on. They really have been poor so far this season, possibly the stand-out rabble of the season's infancy.

Anyone who doesn't have us starting with a 4231 might as well be posting on fantasy footy. There's surely more chance of Son starting than Poch deviating form 4231.

And since we could really use a first win of the season in this one, I don't think we can have any passengers. So playing Lamela to develop his confidence sounds like we'd be carrying him. He doesn't deserve a starting berth. Maybe if things are going well he could come off the bench. But we shouldn't take Sunderland that lightly.

That would be mine, although I'd be happy with Alli coming off the bench and Bentaleb starting with Dier in the 2 man role.

Trippier in for Walker and that would be my team, would love to see it

So, basically, you want us to win all our games playing sexy, exciting football.

You're not asking for much then.

How have you got that from what I said? I want us to play good attacking football, the way spurs used to play.
I'm realise we are unlikely to better 5th or win anything this season but I want to enjoy watching us play again

I'd like to see Trippier and Bentaleb in there (provided Bentaleb has got his head together) and I wonder if we need a bit of guile from Pritchard if we don't have Eriksen.

Wouldn't be upset with the lineup above though. A lot depends on Dier having a good game.

After Lamela started against Bolivia for Argentina as a 10 i hope Poch starts him behind Kane for this one as Dembele and Eriksen wont be fit.

If I think I know Pochettino, I reckon he will go for Dier and Bentaleb as a CM2 with Mason further up, Son and Chadli wide.

Would be perfectly happy with that. For me that's Mason's best position.

I just worry slightly where the passing comes from in the final third, as that is normally Eriksen's role. But perhaps we need a bit more of a direct approach.

I kinda hear what you're saying. Though didn't you enjoy watching us smash Chelsea and taking 4 points off the scum. I know that was only 3 gamess but they were massive ones.

I'll be happy if we repeat that level of performance a bit more, for sure (which is what I think you're getting at) but we're Spurs. Consistency is not something that comes easy to us I'm afraid.

Its easy to get performances from the players in games like these, also those 2 teams will come out and play us leaving more space for our players.

For me the manager still has to show he has got what it takes when we are the favorites.
