I'd rather we finished 5th. Imo it's important we get into habits playing good or bad we finish as high as possible.

Mourinho's first season back at Chelsea he said early on that they wouldn't win the league but was building to next season.

Next year he won the league.

He took a season to introduce a new style of play and then brought in the right players that summer to complete the puzzle.

There's nothing unambitious about that.

Your words say you'd rest him, your tone says you'd drop him.

Either way, it's fucking retarded.
Your tone says you lack some ability to understand tones.

A player who hasn't scored in the league so far this season, has shown signs of being a bit overworked, a player who we will need all season when in form, and a team which hasn't won in the league this season.
But no, let's keep doing the same as before.

I'd realistically go with...
Lloris
Trippier Toby Jan Rose
Dier Alli
Son Mason Chadli
Kane

But if I could, with Eriksen fully fit and N'jie ready...
Lloris
Trippier Toby Jan Rose
Dier Mason
Son Eriksen N'jie
Kane

youre ericks are a little confusing but lamela for chadli if ive read correctly is on what basis???
Based on Chadli's ability to go missing for long periods of the game.
Sure he scores invaluable goals from time to time but for his position he needs to be more involved in the general play, support his defender more consistently, put pressure on the opposition when they have the ball all the time and with a bit more gusto.
I don't mean to bash him as when he does want to get involved he brings a lot to our play. I just think he coasts through games too often. Maybe the addition of Son and Njie will see him up his game.
Lamela played nearly 80 minutes for Argentina during their 7-0 thrashing of Bolivia so maybe the time is right for Poch to show some belief in him now that he might have regained a smidgen of confidence.

If I was picking I'd choose...

LLoris
Walker Alder Vert Rose (I get the Trippier sentiment, but Walker is still the guy, but Trip should see minutes)
Dier Bentaleb
Son Eriksen Chadli
Kane

I think he will go for...

LLoris
Walker Alder Vert Rose
Dier Bentaleb
Son Mason Chadli (I have a feeling Eriksen is still crocked or not match fit and maybe comes on as a sub at best)
Kane

So the first thing you'd change would be Kane? Our only striker, who's only played about about an hour's football (not particularly competitive football, at that) in the last two weeks, and has scored a couple of well taken goals. You obviously haven't seen/heard any interviews with him recently either. His confidence is still sky high, despite a poor start to the League season.

I still don't see the logic, but you're obviously so sure you're right so I'll leave you to it.

Dropping Kane is a daft suggestion. And I don't agree that he's had a poor start to the season either. His game isn't just about the goals, and he's doing fine playing up front and giving defenders a tough time of it. He's a nailed on banker to start on Saturday, and hopefully his excellent runs out with England will have brought his goal-scoring touch back too.

The bigger problem is with the three behind him, who aren't stepping up to create the urgency and attacking aggression we need. Too often we're a slow 451, instead of a dynamic 4231. I'd like to see Eriksen back if he's fit. And Alli deserves a starting berth. I'd say Mason deserves a start too based on his Everton performance. If Poch would give Son a game too, we could have a bit more impetus going forward and actually create some chances rather than play in front of Sunderland.

Agree with this completely, if anybody watched the game vs stoke, also vs leicester he played very well. The only note against Harry is against Everton but it happens. We clearly missed eriksen vs leicester and everton to create more clear cut efforts.

But, who are you suggesting we play instead??

I'd say after his strong performances for england, its the ideal time for him to be opening his account for us against a weak sunderland - dont you?

It would pretty foolish to drop a player who has just scored 2 goals in the last week. I don't see any logic in that. At all.
