I'd be tempted to give Eriksen a rest/boot up the backside (delete as applicable).

Dembele & Son in for CE and Carroll and hopefully a reaction from the others.

Dembele is hopefully back, he has been an important player so far. I'd probably bring back Bentaleb.

------------------------------Lloris---------------------------------
Walker----------Toby---------------Verts--------------Rose----
--------------------Dier-------------Bentaleb---------------------
-------Lamela--------------Son------------------Eriksen--------
-----------------------------Kane-----------------------------------

Subs: Vorm, Trippier, Wimmer, Alli, Carroll/ Dembele, Chadli, Onomah/ Clinton

Dembele (if fit) will play as will Alli.

I'd play Son instead of Eriksen as well, as we are desperate for pace up front.

Lloris
Walker Alderweireld Vertonghen Davies
Dier Bentaleb
Lamela Dembele Onomah
Kane

Vorm, Wimmer, Rose, Alli, Winks, Son*, Chadli

*If N'Jie is fit, he goes in the 18 over Son and possibly the XI for Onomah.

Gk and defense picks itself.
CM Carroll/Dier
AM lamela/Eriksen/dembele
Kane

Dier gives us more aerially to deal with pelle
Dembele helps us retain the ball higher up the pitch to pin their fullbacks further back.
Main drawback is we don't have an attacker of the ball so we can't play counter and need possession.

Should be enough to draw we only have to look out for mane.

Anyone still putting Eriksen in the team is crazy.

I don't think it's all that lunatic to keep him but put him back into the position he was playing well in earlier in the season, rather than persisting with two "wingers" of Eriksen and Lamela. Such a lineup has never worked consistently for us.

Eriksen is the most productive and intelligent player we have in AM. Him and lamela are the ones that can see a pass when it gets tight. He can also score from range.he can be frustrating but we need to put up with it.

Our attack has been a bit stale lately. Eriksen has just not been pulling his weight, Alli has had a poor month and Son has looked totally off the pace. I imagine this will come too soon for Mason (otherwise I'd have him straight in) but hopefully Dembele is fit as he's been excellent, while Lamela was our only real threat v Newcastle. I'd also roll the dice with Onomah, we need a bit of bravery in attack at the moment.

I'd go:

Lloris
Walker Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose
Dier Dembele
Lamela Onomah Chadli
Kane

Vorm Trippier Wimmer Alli Eriksen Son Njie

I agree completely with what you say but to have both Onamah and Chadli starting is a bit risky to me. Maybe one of them as a 'wildcard' but not both. Chadli still has to pick up form and probably fitness and Onomah isn't very tried and tested in the PL, not sure away to Southampton is the best game to start him in. Just doesn't seem right to start the both of them with Alli, Eriksen, Son and Njie on the bench.

Son's a tough one but he's one I'd want us to persist with, I haven't forgotten how promising he looked prior to being injured. We get that player back and he's a huge asset. Even with his current poor shooting and decision making he still looks like one of our most energetic, lively and forward thinking players, along with Lamela I'd say.

Agree with this. Really hope Dembele is fit, but if not Bentaleb should be his alternative as he probably has the most similar skill set. Also believe we need to drop Alli for a game or two. He has gone off the boil somewhat and could do with some time as a sub. Despite Son looking a little rough of late I would start him for this.

I'd put Davies in for Rose to sure up our defending because of late we're not keeping clean sheets.

Personally I feel we're missing Mason.

RE: Alli, as important as it can be to give the guy games under his belt I also think it's important to let him sit out if he's not performing at a certain level. Keep him on his toes, keeping him working hard and try not to allow him to get complacent. I'm not trying to knock him at all, he's done terrifically well but I just think it can be detrimental to keep someone in the team when they're not performing well for continuous games.
Hence why as much as I like Eriksen, I'm not going to be displeased if I see him on the bench also. Whether I'd actively call for him to be benched, I'm not sure. He can give so much more though, away to Swansea I thought he was fantastic and that's not even looking at his goals, just his goal threat and the areas he popped up in on the day were great. Need to get him closer to goal IMO.

I don't think Poch has ever benched Eriksen has he? Not looking likely he'll start now

Not that I can remember to be honest. Like said I wouldn't be annoyed if he did but don't mind if he doesn't either. I would personally just like to see Dembele and Son coming into the starting 11 for a start.

I'd give the players the chance to make up for last week...
