Too early imo. You could see Bale gasping after air when he dribbled past the West Ham defenders and placing his shot on the outside. Nurse him into shape.

Yeah it's madness. It's the first game of an incredibly generous group stage, if there's any time we can afford to rest the likes of Ndombele, Kane and Son it's Thursday.

Give him 30mis mid week to help build it up. It will also depend on how his body reacts to yesterday's game. He might be on a slower recovery so this might be just too quick a turn around.
But if he is fit to start, then a 60min run out would be amazing.

Id liek to say lets put a strong team out win it in the first half then sub a few off ready for Burnley - but given that we cant even win a game at 3-0 with 8 mins remaining - what chance do we have of resting anyone

Id play Bale as he needs the mins. Id play Kane and Son/Lamela/Lucas. Id take a couple of them off after an hour dependent on where we are and put on Vinicius.

As for midfield and defence - fuck knows

My point is, he’s clearly not match fit yet and should be nursed into fitness. He was basically gasping for breath after his raid against West Ham, so a good 20-25 mins against LASK is a good way to start
