Would prefer Doherty to Aurier as I think he's much better aerially and defending set pieces will be a priority.
Burnley will take the same approach as the Hammers. Will look for set pieces. So, defenders and midfielders need to be smart and think about containment. No lunging in. Aurier, Sanchez Winks, and Sissoko all played a role in giving WH that point by being rash and stupid. Aurier does it every game. Sometimes we pay for it, sometimes we don’t. But against this type of team, Doherty is the man for the RB job. Need his height and he is a bit smarter in terms of game awareness. Oddly enough, I feel that Aurier shines more against the higher level teams who do not depend on winning games through set pieces. Man Utd is a good example.

No but if our Achilles he’ll in games we’re on top of is set pieces then might make sense to put in the giant who’s best trait is heading v the likes of Chris Wood.

But I’m sure all our Friday afternoons are far happier for having experienced a bit of online passive aggression from you.
Wtf are you on about?

It wasn’t Aurier’s fault.

That doesn’t change the fact that Doherty is more dominant in the air than him and is probably better suited to start against Burnley — who rely on their aerial threat.
We beat Burnley 5-0 Last season with Aurier in the team.

Not exactly difficult for you to get from ‘No but if our Achilles he’ll in games we’re on top of is set pieces’ to ‘No but if our Achilles heel in games we’re on top of is set pieces’, is it now. One little iPhone autocorrect didn’t really stop you understanding what I meant did it?

Lloris
Doherty Toby Dier Davies
Ndombele Hojbjerg Lo Celso
Lamela Kane Son

Subs
Hart Aurier Reguilon Sissoko Alli Bale Vinicius

Put in our fullbacks and CBs who are best in the air, the rest of the team picks itself but boy is the bench hard to work out. Alli offers us something different if needed, Bergwijn and Lucas aren't coming on for Lamela instead of Bale and probably not on for Son either. If we're Infront Sissoko of good one to bring on as Ndombele tires. Lamela in to bring us fight

The height of Rodon could be useful as well

We will overwhelm them. It will be 3-0 before they know what hits them. This isn’t the Tottenham team that they have been playing in the past.

Another 3-0 lead before they know what hits them like Wetspam? I'd rather a 2-0 lead at half-time and a couple of quick goals at the start of the 2ns half.

However what Aurier brings to the table is stressing and hounding the opponent relentlessly far up the pitch, a trait that goes largely unnoticed among many fans, and something that can work very well vs. teams that aren't that technically gifted.

The four bankers are Hugo, Pierre, Harry & Sonny.
If Dier is not back then will almost certainly be Toby & Dave at the centre of defence unless Joe is deemed ready for his debut but from a quote by Jose not sure he is ready yet

“He’s a very young player, that didn’t play one single match in the Premier League so calm down,” Mourinho said.

After that the permutations are endless for the other places.

Gone are the days when we used to say "the starting XI pick themselves". Good shout on Rodon. ?

Think Dier are our best 2 CB at dealing with high balls and the physical thread Burnley will pose.
Could easily swap both fullbacks depending on fitness if Doherty or Reguilon are not 100% but considering we are playing Monday and not Sunday they should be fresh
