The four bankers are Hugo, Pierre, Harry & Sonny.
If Dier is not back then will almost certainly be Toby & Dave at the centre of defence unless Joe is deemed ready for his debut but from a quote by Jose not sure he is ready yet

“He’s a very young player, that didn’t play one single match in the Premier League so calm down,” Mourinho said.

After that the permutations are endless for the other places.

Bale to come on in the 85th minute when we're 5-0 up to break the curse like he did against Burnley in 2009.

I know there isn't a curse, but I'm rolling with it.

All the people leaving lucas out of the starting line up fine but to not have him even on the bench ??
What would that say to the squad ..... no matter how good you play it doesn’t matter ? Not a good vibe IMO

Really like the look of this team. Might need Doherty's and/or Davies superior aerial ability in defence as we know what threat Burnley pose. Give Son a free role to work either flank and have Kane cause havoc between the lines

I am pretty sure Jose will be forced to do this on multiple occasions (to players who are not even on the bench) and I suspect he will manage it by showing players the upcoming schedule and explain the games he wants them to influence. Personally I would include Lucas at least on the bench due to his aerial ability at both ends (he really leaps like a salmon) and his work rate.

It will be a tough game like last season, I hope Jose puts the same team on the court against United. If the game is difficult at 60, put Bale, Lo Celso and Lamela on the court. Boom!

If no Dier I'd be tempted to play Rodon to try and match Burnley's physicality up front.

I'd imagine that Jose will want to give Rodon a game before the international break in November. Burnley's physical style might suit him more than Brighton.

Lloris
Aurier Alderweireld Rodon Davies
Sissoko Hojbjerg
Ndombele
Moura Kane Son

Subs: Hart, Doherty, Reguilon, Dier, Lo Celso, Bale, Vinicius

Apart from Hugo, Son, Kane, Hojberg it's a impossible to predict our line up now, even just the bench is difficult.

Would Davies be more suited to left back for this game with Burnleys physical nature? Serge or Doherty?

Bergwijn, Lamela, Lucas? Who starts on the right?

Good luck Jose, you wanted options, you got them.

I notice a few are picking Rodon, has anybody seen him play?
No but if our Achilles he’ll in games we’re on top of is set pieces then might make sense to put in the giant who’s best trait is heading v the likes of Chris Wood.

But I’m sure all our Friday afternoons are far happier for having experienced a bit of online passive aggression from you.

Ndombele is a banker for this game. He's playing well. Jose is trying to reward an increase in effort and form. He didn't play Thursday. He'll start here for sure

But otherwise I know what you mean.

Doherty - Alderweireld - Rodon - Davies
Ndombele - Højbjerg
Lucas - Kane - Son
Vinicius

?
I don't hate it... My only concern is Kane being a CAM instead of a ST might make him less open. Right now when he drops off the CB's have to make a choice to come with him or stay back. Coming with him opens up behind for Son, staying back opens up space for Kane. If you make him a midfielder, he could be marked out by Burnley's midfield.

Keeping Kane as a striker who drops back gives us an advantage of numbers in midfield and that is why he usually finds space.

Well let's hope the scouts that watched Rodon were not the same ones that reported back on Ramon Vega, Vlad Chiricheș , Federico Fazio or Kevin Wimmer but were the ones who watched Toby & Jan.

Would prefer Doherty to Aurier as I think he's much better aerially and defending set pieces will be a priority.
