Therein lies the source of Kane's struggles this season IMO. He had to fight tooth and nail to break into the team in the first place, and now the shambolic failure to bring in a replacement for Soldado and Ade has left him under absolutely no pressure whatsoever. None. He could be the worst player on the pitch in every match between now and Christmas and he would not be dropped, we have no one who could come in for him.
