His confidence is already shot. I think a quick kick up the arse to show that he isn't undroppable and needs to earn his place may do him more good

I fully agree mate (i was attempting sarcasm, badly) just i said the same the other week and apparently it's best he stays on, even though he looks like he's never seen a football (presently)

Not as if we haven't created chances.

But that ball from Kane to Davies into space is emblematic of our issues. Everyone was either in the center or the right-center, no one making runs into the channels or stretching the defense. Attack fizzles out, boom it's over.

We need N'jie/Son to balance this out.

I'd easily have him in over Chadli in this one playing on the left. Cause that Swansea backline to backpedal and overlap a bit, thus providing room for Eriksen and Lamela to create and Alli to find space into.

I actually had him and N'jie in my preferred team for this match with Lamela at 10, but Eriksen has at least contributed this half. We need the pace to overlap and get the ball into the box. I also wanted us to pin back their right and left back, which might have seen Montero et al dropping to cover.

Good news is we're getting through their back line at will. Got to take our chances though.

How is Ayew not penalised for obstruction there? He virtually sat on the ball to stop Chadli from getting to it. Now he's pretending to be hurt.

How did Njie not start this game? Chadli, Eriksen and Lamela doesn't work, we saw that enough last season.
